I really, really want to get both my girls one for Christmas, but all I'm seeing is the Micro version. I wanted either the Click (mid priced) or Max version since they both have the screen on back.I can't seem to find them anywhere online. Has anyone heard when these are coming out???

Thanks!

There have been two other threads going about these for the past couple of days. Basically, Best Buy seems to be the only place that has them. They are backordered online, but may be available instore.

You can find these on Ebay selling for between $25-$40 inclusive of shipping. I saw one of these at Best Buy some time ago and thought it was really neat looking except I could not tell what the resolution was. So - I now see that the resolution is stated as "CIF" resolution. So... whats' that? I googled it and I think it amounts to all of 480x330 ... which in effect is HALF VGA! Yup... that's all of 0.16 megapixels! That's about 1/6th of a MP!

Hmm..... right now my daughters "toy" digicam is my old Canon G1 which has 3.1MP and originally cost me $1000 + $500 for the 1GB microdrive. Today you can buy a Canon G1 on eBay for about $50-60 and a 4GB microdrive can be had on eBay for about $35!

As cute as the Disney digicam is I'll let my daughter continue with my old G1 or buy another G1 when she breaks the one she's got.

i was reading about the disney digital camera and it said it only ahd 16MB of memory good for about 15 pics??!! What good is a camera like that unless you carry around a laptop?? Spend the money on a real camera and put your own disney stickers on it!

The one that you are talking about is the Pix-Max which is the 3MP version and it does take expandable memory. I could not figure out what type on the site I found this on, but I would bet that it is SD. I believe the camera is $79. Not the best for the money, but the software that comes with it may make it worth looking at. Disney software has put out some real gems before, but there have also been some real duds. I am hoping for someone to review these before the X-mas rush.

Bought two silver Max versions at Best Buy yesterday. (It was the only color they had, but I was still excited to have found them!)

They also had several Micro versions. (Wow, they are really tiny - don't even look like cameras!) And one style of the mid priced (Click) - POTC. I would have liked the Click version, but I have two girls.

The box for the Max looks pretty neat, shows how you can add in the Disney characters, etc. on top of the pics. I'm going to order a 1 GB SD card from Newegg for them. If you buy an off brand you can get them pretty cheap.

It says it is 3 megapixel, built in flash and 4X digital zoom.

By the way, on Best Buy's website it shows there was no in store pickup availability, but yet they still had them.

I also got the girls the Mix Max Media Players at Target. Got one Tinkerbell and one High School Musical. Also got a couple clips for them. Wow, they are missing the boys here - all the movies seem girl related???

Man, Christmas gifts seem to be getting smaller but more expensive! :confused3
