I got it a couple of days ago. My free dining offer only goes through March 5, 2014 and the room discount pretty much blackouts the entire summer months. Too bad I can't use it.

My bf got the same pin code too. We can't use either because we're waiting until late October/early November to go.

It's the first pin code he's received and was under the impression we would get the free dining AND 35% off hotel stay until I set him straight...

I've gotten a couple throughout the years, but could only take advantage of one.

I got one too and it's pretty restrictive. Free dining is only for a short time and like a PP said summer is pretty much blocked out.

We recieved the same one a few months back, not sure how we got it so early. We are going to go August 18-26 as I'm banking that my DD won't start school until the 27th. We are staying at AoA. I think we only recieved a 20% there; we wanted to try a moderate for the first time but wanted to take DFiL and he really couldn't swing his own room so we are staying in a suite (still about $50 off a night). I wish we could have done free dining. This is our first time ever going without free dining though we purchased it anyway (we really like DDP) and man did it boost our total!

I finally got the elusive pin code. I have a feeling that it is because this is the first time in 7 years I don't have a trip booked by this time of the year.

It did have a week that we could go, so I thought about it, but after spending a week with MDE/FP+ in October, I was hesitant because we for the most part hated MDE/FP+ and the only saving factor was having FP- to fall back on during out trip and I knew that was going away. After seeing the pictures and hearing the stories of the debacle that occurred this weekend with the removal of FP- from MK and the total unfairness to offsite guests and AP holders (including pseudo off site guests of Shades of Green, Swan and Dolphin), and the thoughts of the new debacle that is going to exist if WDW decides to remedy that unfairness and everyone has access to FP+ in advance so that you have to get a FP+ right at 60 days out, or it is standby or nothing for Peter Pan, Soarin, TSM and of course the new 7 dwarves coaster, there is no way we are using the pin code. I'm still hopeful that Disney finds a way to fix this mess it has made, but there is no way we are booking right now. I never thought I would see a time when I did not want to book a WDW trip. So bummed that I finally got one of the pin codes I'm always hoping to get and am not even interested in using it right now.

For those still pining for pin codes, try all of these and see if they work for you.

1) register an email address on the main Disney website
2) populate your account profile
3) order the Disney Vacation Planning DVD
4) log in, go to the booking section and plan, but do not book, a trip in the timeframe you want to visit

Those (either alone or in combination) have always worked for me...

Have to agree with LarryZ..

I (knock on wood) do receive at least one pin code a year, and I do all of the above. Normally the pin code comes after I order the dvd.. i guess to help entice you to book. I received the same pin but the dates we are looking for are late Oct Early Nov as well, so we are patiently waiting for fall deals... and praying for FD!!!!

Well, looks like I will retain my position as president of the NO-PIN club. I've done everything in the past possible to get one (including everything on LarryZ's list) and have never gotten one. It's not breaking my heart this year as we plan to head west again but I figured this would be the year.
