Just want to thank you for all the work you've done on this FAQ. Without all the help my family and I would not be able to afford a deluxe resort for our stay - we'd either be off-site or stuck at the ASMO for about 10 days (which would be okay but I want some luxury!!!). :D [Read some of the posts about the cheerleaders and WOW! Not all of us think that way.] ;)

Thank You for the kind words. As soon as the dates are available I will post them!!!

So I could use a discount for 1/16 through 1/19, for instance, but if I was also staying 1/20 I would have to pay full price? Is that correct? I'm wondering why all of the narrow windows for discounts, in some cases just 2 consecutive days. Is that because of conventions they already have booked, maybe?

Thanks,

Shirley

One of the reasons maybe previous committments to conventions or travel groups like Airline packages and such. I do know that they are offered when the hotel is under 80% full. I would suggest calling as I did. I made a reservation for a friend when I called I knew the first day was not on the previous list, but they gave it to her for the Entertainment rate. Calling is the best thing you can hurt, and since it is a 1-800 number, it is free!

Good luck getting what you need.

Glo, what is the Swan and Dolphins deposit and cancellation policy? Which rate is better , AP or entertainment? Which concierge is better , Swan or Dolphin? Any advice?

Puffy2- I have heard the room are bigger at the Dolphin. I have also heard that the late night snacks at concierge are only at the Swan.

kbp13- my cruise friend!!!!
I like the Swan. It is smaller and I think the views are better from there. At the Dolphin the only view is really towards Epcot. At the Swan you can also see MGM from the front of the resort.

Glo,

I have told you this before, but your work on this FAQ is the greatest. I wish I could figure out how to add the cheerleader pictures to my signature because I would start a Glo cheerleader club!

Many thanks!

would I be eligible for the discount rate with a disney club membership or is it only for a/p? my parents and sister have just made their ressies at the boardwalk and if i could get that discount, i/m there!!!

Yes the Swan and DOlphin resorts are the only resort in the Disney area that will honor the Entertainment card logo of the DC card. You can get a standard room at the Swan or Dolphin for $155 a night. The upgrade and late check out, would not be included as ther are AP advantages.

Which would ne the better way to go
Government Employee rate or A/P - Ent rate.
I classify for all three. Can you get the Gov rate and then get an upgrade from your AP.
I understand the Swan has the bigger beds, but as far as the other amenities (pools, restaurants) do they share them are there any differences.
