I just got off the phone with Disney Dining and was told no more 180 days in advance plus 10 days. She said they got the email on it last night and it's effective starting today. Anyone else hear this?

I talked to dining yesterday while making my Oct ADRs (again) and no one mentioned it. I talked to 3 CMs yesterday. I guess we will know soon, because someone here will be calling today for their 180+10, and will most likely post back.

Obviously my CM wouldn't give me anything but 180 today. It's earlier in CA so I thought I'd accept the policy right now and go to bed. Just curious if anyone else hears a similar message.

It doesn't bother me if they change this. It did make it way more convenient for me, but it does make it more fair for everyone to have to call on the same day.

This would be wonderful news. :thumbsup2 It was so unfair before because there were CMs giving some guests their ADRs at 190 days out, misunderstanding the way the perk should work.

I'll be watching this developing story!

It may seem more fair so that everyone calls on the same day to make their ADRs, but I took the 180+10 as another benefit AND REASON for paying the extra $$ and staying on property. Anything and everything that Disney can do to get people to stay on property (Magical Express, DDP, EMH, DTD shopping, night clubs, etc.) and have no reason to go off property, only benefits Disney's bottom line! But what do I know... :confused3

I'm confused. I thought the 180 + 10 was if you were making your ADR's for the entire trip at once.

Is it a perk for resort guests and I didn't notice? Do I have to call every day for 10 days to make my ADR's for my December trip? I won't be happy about 10 long distance calls!

MKM,if this is indeed the new policy, here's a toll-free number to call Disney Dining. It is 1-877-939-3732.

Yes, but you don't really have to call at 180 days out for all restaurants to get what you want.

Before this perk, I didn't call daily. I called maybe twice. I'd only call daily for hard to get ADRs like CRT or maybe Le Cellier.

I was hoping to do mine tommorrow so i will let you know. Its typical they have a new policy the day before i make the calls

I don't get it. If there's to be no more 180 days +10 then when can we make ADR's? Anytime we want? If so then I'd want to make them now for December or I'll not get the ones I want.

From my understanding they're saying you can only make your ADR at 180 day mark and not +10. So you'll have to call each day when you're at 180 days for restaurant you want to dine at.

I got the impression that we would no longer have the ability to call at 180 days AND book 10 days worth of ADRs. Thus taking away the onsite perk of +10 days.

However, we would still book an ADR at 180 days if we so choose. Or you could wait till one 170 days or 5 days. That is up to you.

I'd just go back to calling at 180 days from check out and booking all my ADRs execpt of course the hard to get ones like CRT or Le Cellier.

When it was this way in the past it really didn't bother me at all. I really think this is so much fairer for people trying to book CRT breakfast, etc.

Exactly.

Or wait even longer with the exception of the few that are truly hard to get. We're just back from a trip. I made our dining reservations about 60 days out and got everything I wanted. Our next trip is in October and I haven't made any reservations yet.

Do we have any other confirmation that there really has been a change though?

Yes, this is what I was saying!

just got off the phone with dining and was able to book all the way out to Nov 30th, out last night there.

That is past the 180 day mark right now.

I would love it if they closed it back to the regular days. I tried to get Thanksgiving dinner during the 180 + 10 (so I wasn't even 180 days from Thanksgiving) and the restaurant we wanted was booked :headache:

That is just so unfair. That means that those who happen to arrive earlier than we do can book a restaurant full before we even get a chance at it.

I'm not stressed or mad about it, but it is disappointing.
