Rumors are swirling that Disney during the 5/14 Toy Story Mania press event will annouce the 2nd Pixar attraction to occupy the soundstage to left of Toy Story. Possibly an Incredibles attraction

I was actually kind of warming to the rumored idea of a Cars coaster. At least that movie was set in California.

A Test Track type ride themed with Cars is already planned for the new Cars Land. I would welcome the idea of an Incredibles attraction. Maybe put it in the Jumping Jellyfish/Mailiboomer area because that area is weak right now.

the rumor involves DHS not the Cailfornia Adventure

It was set in the fictional town of Radiator Springs located in the also fictional Carburetor County, NM.

Its not really an attraction but I heard that sometime this summer 0f '08 Disney would be adding Wall-E character to WDW DHS that would roll around the park and talk to guests. He would be about 3 or 4 feet high.

A Cars theme would fit better due to the second movie coming out in the future. The Incredibles does deserve an attraction.

I love the Incredibles I hope the Incredibles ride be in Disney Hollywood Studios.:mickeyjum

I personally thought it was a great movie and I think it would make a decent dark ride attraction to go with the Pixar theme.

I like it too, but I don't know if it "deserves" and attraction. In terms of popularity its not on the level of most of the other Pixar movies. But I agree, it does lend itself well to an attraction/dark ride/coaster

It would be hard to come up with a storyline for the Incredibles attraction. Although the movie did end with a cliffhanger of sorts, would Disney base a ride on that? Since the Incredibles ended with the "underminer," it could be like a journey to the center of the earth roller coaster like one of the international space mountains.

Here's my idea. A dark ride with the ability to rotate the vechiles and speed up the vechiles. You are Dash. You are speeding thru a battle between Syndrome and evil robots or Underminer and his gang. You see AAs of all the various Incredibles referenced in the movie with the climatic scene of the other family members in a pitched battle where you, Dash, join them for victory

You're overthinking here.... THEY"RE SUPER HEROES!!!! And Mr Incredible and Elasta-girl have MANY VILLIANS who would want revenge from past butt kickings.

The Incredibles is for all intense purposes a Comic Book Movie!!! And COMIC BOOKS have different stories, villians etc.

The end of the movie didn't as much setup a cliff hanger as it showed that the FAMILY was now FIGHTING CRIME together... like a Familial Fantastic Four or Avengers. Its a crime fighting family.

Personally, a ride a la Spiderman would be PERFECT for the Incredibles. You can even correspond it with a TV show (something I am surprised we have NOT seen from Disney yet.). Even as a rollercoaster, you could easily incorporate everything...

Maybe something like this

Start the preshow or attraction with a premise of the Incredibles showing their powers OR Mr Incredible and Elastagirl being inducted into a Supers hall of fame. We are shown some of the hall of fame exhibits, the happy inductees, their families and friends, etc. The exihibits are of famous battles from the past, villians they defeated etc. We then realize that the villians are at the ceremony and just as we realize it all heck breaks lose. The villians take us captive and the family comes to save us and liek Spiderman, the fight is the essence of the ride.

All you need fromt he movies is the main protagonists. The Villians could be anyone.

I wouldn't do an Incredibles based roller coaster because it would be very hard to incorporate a good story. Recently I read an article about how some movies are franchises, like Toy Story, and some are not, like Ratatouille and maybe the Incredibles. That's not to say they weren't great movies, but maybe franchising them into rides is just not a good decision.

An Incredibles attraction made me also think of something along the lines of the Spiderman attraction at UIOA which is a FANTSTIC ride.:charac4:

Well, personally, since a Cars themed land is going in DCA, I would think they would put another Disney/Pixar ride in MGM. (I don't care if they changed the name to Hollywood Studios!) I would imagine a Primeval Whirl- type ride themed to the Incredibles. Well, you know Imagineering, there has to be a story to everything. I don't know about that.

But I doubt they will do it within the next 3 years. Due to the slumping economy, I bet they won't really do it, and by that time the Incredibles will be kinda forgotten.

Just my opinion
