NEW DFTW Save the Dates

Hi Girls -

This is a mock up of the new DFTW STD. The final version will be silver instead of blue. A couple things to note:

The new one is smaller in size - the envelope is about the size of a greeting card and the pages are the same size, not folded like the old ones.
There is no booklet in this one.
The new one is more streamlined - less information - and directing the guests to call or go on the website

I believe that DFTW is still sending out the current save the date announcements through the end of October.

They are lovely - i was told and I just sent in my contract that they are no longer providing the older ones.

I have to say I'm a little disappointed because it direct you to the websites. I really like the other save the dates because all the info was at your fingertips. My mother in law doesnt have internet access and I've been telling my guest multiple times to check out allears.net or wdwinfo.com to find out prices and they still haven't done it.

I liked the others because the info was printed there for you.

I love the new ones! I am still doing my own but I was going to take some of the pieces of the old one to add to mine. This will work out much better!!

I'm really glad to see this, and wish they'd been available when we sent our Save-the-dates out.

We had to have Disney send out only the letters from the package they were using last year, because so much of the verbiage in the booklet was "The brid and goom have chosen . . . " etc. Clearly they were designed before Disney made the (very wise) decision to let gay and lesbian couples have commitment ceremonies.

Scott and I were kind of bummed that we weren't able to have as nice a STD package as everyone else. Hopefully these will be a little bit more customizable.

Thank you sooo much for posting those! I am mailing my contract back tomorrow and had to initial off on our save the dates. They said I could wait for the new ones if I wanted and I think I will now that I've seen them! They are georgous.. especially compared to the boring old ones.

These are so much better than the other ones! I had people tell me that when they got the old ones they were thinking that they looked really dated and overdone. These have much more class.
