(new DELL) I need a little computer help,please....

I just bought a new Dell computer that included a new printer/scanner/copier.When I ordered the printer,the sales rep did not tell me that it was a "3 in 1 . I've always thought buying equipment that performed more than one function was not good. This is a Dell A940 all in one inkjet printer,any of you have one and ,how is the scan function?
I bought an HP scanner . My friend has this model and its awesome. My question is will I have a problem with my HP scanner and the 3 in 1 printer?

Most multifunction machines do not do any of their functions (generally speaking) as well as any good single function machine. However, almost every low priced inkjet printer today is multifunction. Just use your printer as a printer and your scanner as your scanner.
