John Travolta will play JR Ewing, Shirley MacLaine plays Miss Ellie.

Jennifer Lopez and Luke Wilson were "quite close" to signing up to star as Sue Ellen and Bobby Ewing.

Will they pull it off???

I will have to watch to see

I used to love Dallas (esp. Bobby Ewing or the Man from Atlantis ~ for the old fogies amongst us)

I'm sure they will all pull it off, but the original was just so brilliant, I can't see it being made any better

Can't see them bettering the original. Larry Hagman was sooooo wonderful as JR although I think John Travolta could be really good as JR. Will have to watch it anyway

I've never watched Dallas , my mum did though..I remember hearing her gossip about it to her friends when I was a kid. I like John Travolta.
