New D23 Expo Superthread! (6/24/2019)

I also have a folding shopping bag or backpack in mine...just in case all purchases do not fit. My small collapsible chair also has a carabiner clip on the case so I can clip it outside the bag if needed. You never know what treasures you may find...:donald:
Ain't it the truth?!

Thanks to @maichan’s great spreadsheet, I’ve noticed the Disney+ pavilion appearances are not yet in the app. I hope those get added to the app as there are a couple I have my eye on.

Still no luck in finding the D23 Expo 2019 app in the Apple App Store for iOS... I tried searching everything from “Disney” to “D23” to “Expo”... nothing yields any results as of yet.

If the app is updated and live... why no iOS??

I couldn't find it in the App Store either, but only found it through my previous purchase list. Have you tried contacting D23 about this?

My Expo app shows I first got it in 2013, and I keep updating it each expo without deleting it so my memory is really fuzzy here.....but is it possible it will never be in the App Store since it has such a short useful shelf life? I am wondering, and sort of remembering if it is available via either a D23 email or a short time link on the Expo website for the duration of the expo. I don’t recall ever finding it in the App Store even when I search under the name in my app library.

Someone tried the “share this app” link I’d Posted and it goes to a site with a bunch of music festival apps all of which would be similar with shorter usage periods. That link goes to a site “one event one app”.

Several have noted 2019 version of the app seems to be in flux as it keeps changing. Some panels on the schedule are not in the app. Maybe when it is finished we will get an email with the link to the app.

Trying to remember, too... hmmm, we downloaded ours in 2015 and updated last Expo. I think I first found out about the app on the D23 website, then must have received an email with a link? For sure there will be a post or something about the app on the website soon.

Latest email says reservations are on the 16th but no more information was given. I guess we will have to wait until next week. For me it really sucks that it's a Friday since I'll be busy at work that day so I'm afraid to miss out. 🙁

It will show up in the App Store and the google play store eventually without needing a special link. At least it has in the past.

I'm not seeing the App in the Google Play store either - so looks like it's not out to the public yet.

I even had the 2017 version and can't find it in my app history, so whatever. Looks like I'm waiting for it with most of you.

I'm not so much concerned about the app as worried about figuring out which panels can be reserved and how quickly they'll go.

It's hard to really be able to plan anything without knowing this.

I have an Android phone and I have the 2017 app. When I go to "App Details in Store", it shows the 2019 app, but when I uninstall and reinstall, the app opens as the 2017 app.

I wish they would stop teasing me like this.

So the next question. Has anyone’s tickets moved from processing to shipped in the D23 ticket portal (tickets.d23.com)? Mine is still processing according to the site.

I can’t see how I would check the status - what am I missing?

Login, Order History, Click on tickets
Thanks - I don’t see Order History, Wonder if it is because I had a problem with my account? I have the confirmation email and am getting the Expo update emails for attendees....

is that in the video. I can't watch the video right now.
It’s also in the info on the expo site, under Things to Know; has been there for a while. I added the bold.

Some of my friends (who do CC every year) expect we will have a week or more, depending on local mail delivery to register and make selections. Then they will do a lottery like CC does, and you will be informed what you "won" lol. It may be like this, where it is NOT first come first serve.
