:sunny: I'm a new cruiser going on June 9 with my family of 4. I have a question about birth certificates. I have certified birth certificates for all 4 of us - no passports. Do you need to bring them with us when leaving the ship at Nassau? We are also going on an excursion. I'm concerned with losing them, etc.... Any guidance will be appreciated!

Nope, you need them to board the ship initially and then whenever you go through immigration. You do need to have your KTTW card and a license for adults though whenever you leave the ship.

They will tell you in your daily navigator what you need to bring and where, so don't worry...

I might be wrong, but I was under the impression that everyone needed a passport, except kids. For them, a certified (raised seal) birth certificate was needed.

All of my travel docs are at home so pm me if you need me to confirm. Otherwise, I'm sure the info is out here somewhere.

14 days and counting!!!

I cruised in 2003 and only needed my birth certificate and my driver's license. I left my birth certificate on the ship in our room safe while we were in Nassau and Castaway Cay.

We didn't need passports in November 2004...I know they are going to change it, maybe in 2006, but not yet.
