BIG question ....

can you rent life jackets on the ship to be used in the pool?

can you rent life jackets on castaway cay?

I have a 6 year old who loves to swim but likes to use a life jacket in deep water...

Sorry I can't answer your question but I just wanted to welcome you to the dis family. You will find tons of great info here. I dont remember though if they had them for rent. I wouldn't be surprised if they did though.

They just GAVE our kids life jackets when we asked for them (at the same place where you get the snorkel equipment) on Castaway Cay. No rental needed.

I don't know about the pool on the ship. Your 6yo wont need it in the Mickey pool, though. It's about 2-3 feet deep.

On Castaway Cay you can pick them up for free. They are either at the snorkel hut or when we were there in May they had one of the cruise staff standing by the snorkel lagoon and giving them out.

I think I will pack my sons life vest for swimming in the goofy pool since my other kids are 10 & 11 and we will spend most of our swimming time in the goofy pool...

That's a good idea. We took DS's life vest although he had minimal swimming lessons (he was 5)--but the goofy pool is 4 feet deep all the way around, and he was only 42"! He also used it at CC.
