well, for me anyway...

Did you know they are absolutely incredible on ice??? -- no slipping or sliding whatsoever? I just went out to break the ice on my horse's water trough and ended up fiddlin' around out there a lot longer than I intended to. I've never had such a slip-free excursion in the snow to the corral EVER!
I think I have found my new preferred winter footwear ( with several pairs of fuzzy socks)

I know I REALLY need to get a life. The Christmas color scheme is very festive BTW -- Thank you Powers that be of the boards.

:rotfl2:

Me too! We had our first snow yesterday in Montreal and I had to go on a quick corner store run one block away. I pretty much slid the entire distance in my crocs. Wheeee...

They are great aren't they. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
They make great water shoes too!
I heard somewhere that they're coming out with
Disney themed crocs.

Disney Crocs aren't "coming out soon".. they are out!! :thumbsup2 I'm thinking I'm going to have to brake down and get me a pair before my next trip, especially after my last pair of sandals died. Now if only they came in Tigger colors... ;)

They're great on ice and water until they're not. Once the bottoms start to wear out, they are VERY slick. I almost slipped 2x in a light rain. Mine took about 10 months to get to this point.

Mine get there in about four months. At that point, I slip on everything. Mud is terrible, ice is worse, heck, even the painted on lines in parking lots are slippery in worn out Crocs. :rotfl: I loves me some Crocs though!

In Arizona's White Mountains. You can come visit any ole' time, you! :goodvibes

WARNING: this time of the year, it can be pretty chilly (6500' elevation)! Wish I had a nickle for everybody who comes here for the first time thinking it's gonna be like Phoenix!

Yep, another Croc lover, and another to agree that once the soles start getting "smooth" LOOK OUT. You'll slip on the painted walkway (crossing marks) surfaces of roadways too. Any smooth surface will be dangerous. Good excuse for tossing them and getting a new pair.

Who knew?!?! Mine are getting on to a year old and showing no wear at all. They are bright pink so they do get a little grotty from time to time. Hop in the shower and they look like new.

edited for the spelling of the word "SHOWER" fer pitysakes -- DUH!

Yes, they do wash up nicely, don't they? I have just tried a pair of the "mary jane" style. They're pretty nice too, but I'm not sure about that extra strap over the foot.

Just keep and eye on the sole. If it starts to get too smooth, be extra cautious.

I learned the same thing about ice! I thought I found a great parking spot at my dance studio a few weeks ago until I opened my car door- solid ice! Didn't slip once, though!

And ditto about how slippery they can be when they start getting worn down! All the more reason to buy new ones, though!
