New Coupons for Character Meals!!

We just got back. I purchased the tickets for the Ariel's Grotto meal (lunch) posted in the link at top of this thread. The adult prices were good, the kids' prices weren't.

Voucher price: Adults $28.49, Kids $19.49

Menu Price: Adults $27.99, Kids $15.99

However, there was a 15% gratuity and 8% sales tax added to the menu prices. So the REAL price for adults was $34.42 and for kids was $19.66. So the discount for the kids was basically non-existent, but there was a good discount for the adults. By using the vouchers for 4 of us we saved $12.

We were staying at the Paradise Pier and I gave them my receipt (printed from the online site) and they were able to print out the vouchers at hotel check-in. We just gave them to the server as payment at the end of the meal. They worked perfectly.

Any questions?

Well, at least they worked well for the Adults, who cost the most. A $12 discount at Disney for anything, is really good, and for food thats GREAT!!

I am still a little confused about the AAA meal discount. I made a reservation through Disney Vacations. I guess I'll just try presenting my card at Goofy's when we get there. We're going to do Goofy's Kitchen this time. We have only done the Lilo & Stitch breakfast in the past. Since we're staying at the DLH, it would make sense for us to do their character meal. I have heard some good reviews from people here too.

in case anyone needs these: I just got off the phone with Disneyland Dining with the following prices for my trip next week:

Ariel's Grotto Princess Celebration Breakfast
$39.64/$19.82

Lilo & Stitch Breakfast
$32.21/$17.34

Goofy's Kitchen Brunch
$37.16/$19.82

All the above prices include tax and tip.

I just wish one of those discount sites had vouchers for Ariel's breakfast or Goofy's Brunch.

So, I just purchased my tickets for Goofy's Kitchen... I bought them through the place that the OP mentioned... anaheimoc.com... I saved quite a bit! Right now during high season, the character meals are alot more expensive if you wait and buy them in the park. For example, Goofy's Dinner (until August 25) is $44 at the park, even with our AP 10% discount - it's still a lot more than buying the tickets outside of Disney, especially during high season.

So for 3 adults & 3 kids it was $ 154.50 plus a $5 service fee. With GAT, it would have been 154.50 with a $10 fee... So, GAT would have still been 164.50.

So - that was my experience. I am a AAA member, but live in Nor Cal and my office for some reason doesn't sell the meal tickets.... Whatever!

Others have reported that they can still use the podcast code to get the $10 fee waved when ordering by phone.

I know I have heard of that! But, when I called they didn't offer to waive the fee, so I just went with the other company.:confused3

With your AAA package you get a 'Downtown Disney Discount Card'. In the fine print, it says that it can be used for 10% off at any of the character meal locations (including Goofy's Kitchen) or the Wine Country Trattoria.
