New coupon train

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am really looking forward to joining this group you all seem very nice and friendly. I figured I would come on in and introduce myself. My name is Heather and I am the mom to 2 beautiful girls and step mom to one awesome girl. We are headed to Disney for our first trip in May of 09. We live way down south and love every humid minute of it! can't wait to get to know all of you!

One of our local grocery stores is doing a 13-hour cereal sale today. After dropping the kiddies off at school, I decided to brave the masses of moms in the cereal isle. I've done it before, and I learned to find a cart in the parking lot as there are none available inside store. (step 1)

(step 2, make DH stand in line with empty cart while I add to it) Ok, I got 28 boxes of cereal, saved $11 with coupons, and using my $10 Kelloggs "Fuel For School" rebate, so my 28 boxes of Mini Wheats, Fruit Loops, Rice Krispies, Count Chocula, Corn Pops, Cheerios (and whatever else I grabbed) cost me $29.12. Not too shabby! I also got FREE MILK! I had coupons for $2 off milk with certain purchases (thanks Shaymaraysmom) and I used those while there. So, I was very happy, my pantry is once again stocked (with cereal). We go through so much cereal in my house it's in sane!

Hey, the more the merrier, but I'm not sure if you want to be stuck in a hotel room with one bathroom with four girls and my hubby! This one is going to be a challenge!

What a fantastic sale!! wish I could find one of those in my area. I can totally relate as we go through TONS of cereal in my house also. the only way that sale would have been better is if yogurt wa on sale too! My girls are yogurt addicts!
