Hi, I am new to the boards but we are going to Disney in another month and I have not been since I was 18 and I'm 40 now so I wanted to get some tips on all kinds of things. We have a 4 year old daughter that is going and my parents as well. Anything helpful would be appreciated. Any little tid bits as well. What about the refillable bottles, things like that....

We are staying at Pop Century, we're flying instead of driving, we have character meals planned at Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare, O'Hana, Princess Storybook. Any suggestions on if our daughter is scared of all the characters??

Look forward to reading all the info on the list!

:welcome:

Well i don't have kids but I would say if your daughter is scared of all the characters, don't force her. Just let her go at her own speed. Sometimes it take a few time seeing tham at the parks or at meals to get use to them. They will take their time. LEt her just enjoy the trip. I am sure she will love it.

Hi and welcome! There i a lot of helpful advice on the board. SPend sometime reading posts and I am sure you willl find some interesting tid bits that will help you on your vacation.

If your daughter seems frightened of characters, don't force them on her. Sometimes the little ones start warming up to them after seeing them for a couple fo days. I know what helped with my nephews was when they saw their mother going up and hugging and joking with them. Sometimes they asked if she would hold them when approaching. Just take it one step at a time. Some children are not frieghtened at all and run right up to characters. If worse comes to worse you can always call to cancel your ADRs at the character meals and eat somewhere that is more peaceful for your daughter.
