New Codes at ASMo?

Does anyone know if the new "everyone" codes are available at ASMo? We have reservations there - and I called 2X last Tuesday and was told they didn't have any - only values available was POP and ASMu.

I didn't think to ask if they were just sold out - or simply not available?

Did anyone get the reduced rate at ASMo?

I was thinking about calling again - but feel stupid asking a 3rd time if they never offered in the first place.

I know the codes were good for that resort, but it could be that the limited number of rooms that are available for that rate are all gone. What you could do is keep checking back to see if the code can be added(I would suggest doing it next Wednesday since many reservations will be cancelled due to non-payment of deposits on that day), or calling and telling them you want to check rates and availability for certain dates and a certain code. They will tell you what is available. If the rate is available, then tell them you have another reservation you wish to convert to the new code. This sometimes work if you get someone who doesn't know exactly how to apply a code after the reservation is made. Good luck, and I hope this helps!

THe first time I called was at 7:15 a.m. - and the CM was very rude and very unhelpful (is that a word?)

I called back about 15 min. later and spoke to an AWSOME CM - very nice, helpful - but said nothing was available and that's when she offered POP or ASMu. I explained my 4 yo DGS loves Buzz and we preferred ASMo. She then talked to me over 15 more min. - telling me all the places we could find Buzz, best way to do parades, just kept volunteering unsolicited advise. Wish I had gotten her name.

We have a AAA discount - but this new code would have saved us another $200.00 for the stay (we have 2 rooms).

I'm wondering tho - if I should call and ask as if I don't have a current reservation? I thought about that the last time - but didn't want to go thru all the questions first - so simply said we had a AAA discount and was looking for the new code.

For a $200 savings, I'd reserve ASMu and just walk over to visit Buzz!

ASMo is the most popular of the Value resorts, so the rooms tend to go the quickest, especially when there are great deals.

Try, try again!

I personally prefer Music....

Prefer Music? really?

We've only been once before - about 9 years ago and stayed at Music. Really liked it - but thought we'd try Movies this time - especially cuz of Buzz.....I've requested Toy Story Building.

I just refigured it - and we'd save about $136.00 total - I forget I already got my AAA discount.

I think I'll just keep trying off and on.

Many times All Star Sports is the only available "discounted" value resort. I'm surprised to see PC and Music, they have been so full lately. If you stay in Musc, the food court is a 5 minute walk to the Love Bug Buildings at Movies, and then it's just a few moments to Buzz.

Keep trying, a discount may open up.

I just needed to make a last minute reservation for this Friday night (3/19/04). I was able to get an AP rate at ASMo (standard view). Total was $83/night. So, there ARE AP rooms available at ASMo... it's just the luck of the draw as to whether or not you can get one. YMMV.

That's what the CM said - on 3/9 at 7:45 a.m. - she said POP and ASMu were the only ones that have rooms available at the new coded discount.

She was very nice about it and offered to switch me. I know it might seem crazy - but the family wants ASMo - #1 for Toy Story Building (for grandson) and #2 we already stayed at ASMu and wanted to try something else.

I'm wondering if I'd be better off trying to make a "new" reservatioin - asking "new" questions - instead of being upfront and saying I already have a reservation with a AAA discount? Wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Only problem with trying to make a "new" reservation is that they will still ask for your name and zip code. Once they find you in the computer, your current reservation will pop up on their screen anyway.

If you do want to call back to try the "new" reservation route...you'd have to give a different name if possible.

For example...we are booked at the end of May under my Dad's name because he has a Disney Visa and we got the $69 per night rate at Pop for 3 rooms. I keep calling back under my name trying for the $59 AP rate at either Pop or ASMo. All that is available at this time is ASSp and ASMu.

I'll just keep on trying......

Good Luck.....
speedyf :)

I wasn't trying for the AP code (don't have this) - but for the new "everyone" code. I didn't try the "new" reservation cuz I didn't want to have to answer all those questions again :o

I don't mind calling back several more times - I have 3 months to go and hoping somebody maybe cancels between now and then? I'm not disappointed in my rate - but want to save where I can.

Does anybody know if they can tell how many times you call? i.e. how many times your reservation gets pulled up? Just wondering. I feel sorta silly calling over and over - asking the same question.

I really hope you get exactly what you want and with the code discount. However, I feel the need to let you know that you MIGHT NOT get the Toy Story Bldg. I don't want you to have your heart so set on it that anyone is crushed to be put in a different building.

The last time we stayed at ASMo, we got our third choice of buildings.

Ok - now I'll start worrying:crazy:

When I originally called - I asked for Toy Story Building with connecting rooms - because it's me, DH, DD17, DD22 and DGS4. She stated she would put down my request for Toy Story Building - 2 rooms - but said she could NOT guarantee the connecting rooms - due to their being 3 adults. She said the only guaranteed connecting rooms were for families with 2 adults and 3 children.

She never informed me that I might NOT get my building tho ??? I guess - once it comes down to it - it really won't matter, as we'll be in Disney:Pinkbounc - but for my grandson - I was really counting on being in Toy Story.

We have an early flight - arriving at MCO at 9:55 a.m. - so we're "hoping" to be at the resort by noon. I'm hoping that will be early enough check-in that we'll get what we asked for - since the requests have been in since last November.

I know I don't know all the in's and out's of hotel reservations - but it still amazes me that they can't predict with more certainty your requests. It's different if you don't care - but I just don't see how hard it is to put someone's reservations in at least a specific building for their stay.............................

I understand from other posts - that I might be able to contact the resort itself several days ahead of time? I thought I read somewhere that the actual reservation goes to the resort like 4 days ahead of time?

Thanks for the heads-ups (I think:) )
