New codes are out for DC members! Post your deals here!

The best laid plan....... original plan was 3 nights AKL, 6 nights WL with a (hopefully code) and purchase AP's. When I called to book the Fairytale package I mentioned that ideally I would like to book 2 nights at AKL and 7 at WL. I was told that if I did that, I would "lose my free days." Even doing separate reservations seemed to be impossible for the CM or doing a room only for 2 nights at the AKL and then the fairy tale package at the WL for 7 nights. C'est la vie. Maybe I am not requesting things in the right way.

Has anyone else tried a split stay? If so, were you successful?

jadedNYer,

They would have to make 2 different reservations. You would only benefit on the 7 day one and you would have to pay regular package price for the 2 night stay minus any DC disount.

You wouldn't get your UPH's until you checked into WL.

You wouldn't get your UPH's (the ones that are part of the WL package) until you checked into WL.

Are you planning on going to any of the parks while you are at AKL? You would have to buy a 2 night package or just book 2 nights room and buy whatever ticket you happen to need.

We had originally booked room only July 28 - Aug 5. 4 nights Poly GV concierge and 4 nights AKL Concierge. Rack Rates for a total of $2634.92. This was for 2 Adults and 2 children ( 11, 14). I've been holding off purchasing park hoppers or AP's to see what would be coming out. Called 7:00 this morning and I was the first person the CM had. She didn't have any trouble pulling up the package and commented how the internet must have been buzzing last night. Since length of stay or UPH are included I knew I would have to pick one resort. Love the Poly and have been fortunate enough to stay concierge there before. Since the Hawaii building will be in rehab anyway, even though Tahiti is a great location, decided to go with AKL Concierge for the 8 nights. New total $3258.37. About $624 more now including passes for 4 for 8 nights/9 days. I thought it was a great deal for us. APs will just wait one more year. :Pinkbounc

Floridafam,

I tried to book a room only for 2 nights at AKL the intent being to apply any forthcoming codes or DC discount and then purchase any needed themepark tickets while there. For some reason I couldn't do it. I have such a headache from all of this so I really didn't force the issue with CM.

Just got LV at GF from 7/26 - 8/2 (7nights) with 2 adults and one child for $2587. Included trip insurance and UPH. Could have done Silver Plan for $3899. Or Std view, no silver plan for $2315.

Or CS, water view, no silver plan for $1512.

Or Poly, garden view, no silver plan for $2137.

Hmmmm....reading about all of these deals is making me hope I did the right thing!

We rented points from a DVC member and paid 2300 for 6 nights in BCV 2 bdr. I'll also be buying 1 adult and 1 child php for $444.

I still think I got a good deal! Just reading about the new deals makes me wonder.;)

I hope they do something like this for our May '04 trip:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Hi,
We just booked our trip using the Fairytale Package . We booked 2 standard rooms at All Star Music for 7 nights in Oct. for 3 adults and 4 children ( 2 are 9 and 2 are 16 ) for 2602.16. The total includes all taxes. Included are 2 connecting rooms, Ultimate park passes which include all 4 parks, 2 water parks, Disney Quest and Pleasure Island. The passes are good from check in till midnight the day we check out. Also included are "Bag Tags" luggage tags when payment in full is recieved and a framed artwork of Mickey's PhilarMagic with a collectable pin-one per room.
This seems like an awesome deal to me.
The cast member who took my reservation was VERY nice Well informed and a pleasure to talk to. We were planning to go in Nov but moved it up a month with this deal!!
Thanks to all for letting us know about this!!

My daughter (age 10) and I have reservations for BWV 1 bdrm villa for 8/3-8/10....$2261 with the FT package.

For comparison, the lowest available rate I was quoted for 6 nights BWV 1 bdrm, no package, was $2218.

I usually purchase APs, but have not yet renewed expired AP, and have this reservation on hold in case there are no AP discounts available. I recall that AP rates for late summer/fall were available this time last year.

jadedNYer,

You might want to consider doing the WL Fairytale Pkg for 7 nights first. Then when you transfer over to AKL for 2 nights tixs for the 1st day would be covered by the UPH you got in the Fairytale pkg. Then you would only need themepark tixs for your last day.

These are the quotes I received for 2 adults and 1 child for October 3-11 (8 nights):

YC (Waterview): $3,031.61
AKL (Savannah-standard): $2,585.53
AKL (Concierge): $3,505.73

No transfers or insurance. I'm booked to be on the Wonder this week, so now I'm not sure what I'm going to do. As my favorite bear would say: "Think, think, think".

Well.. my saga continues.... as I last reported it cost more for me to use this package... but someone suggested I change my reservation to 7 nights at BC instead of the 6 nights I have booked and only stay 3 nights at AKL on the basic plan with no passes.

When I checked on this - it did work out better. I booked 7 nights concierge at BC but only paid for 4 nights - great deal.

I booked 3 nights at AKL concierge - room only - at the Disney Club 15% discount.

I already have 7 day park hoppers - so I can use them if I need to and still have left over park hoppers for next trip.

The price dropped $600.00 to make the changes... not bad

Hi.. just to give you an idea of the savings..

BC Concierge Lagoon view for 7 nights rack rate is 4360.95 total and on the fairytale package the total is 2501.64.

I just got off the phone. I'm staying 8 nights at the end of Oct.,We check out mid morning on the last day so I really don't need park ticket for that day, I asked CM if he could remove the last day, he said he couldn't.

So i asked him to price out the package at 7 days instead, and add 1 night room only at the DC rate.
The 8 day package was(at the all star sport) 1,742.69 The new 7 day package was 1,478.39. WOW what a difference. I added the 1 night only at 94.26. My new total is 1,572.65, I saved myself 170.04:bounce: :bounce:

Now I was so happy that I started asking about AKL prices and ended up booking the 7 night package there instead for 2,117.93 For two adults and two jrs.(12 & 15) We never stayed there,so this seemed like a good oppurtunity. I'm going to suprise my family and let them think we are still going to All star sports.:smooth:

I,m spending alittle more than I should, but I think it's worth it to move from a value resort to a deluxe. Now I'm Really exited, I don't know if I'll be able to keep this a secret!! :teeth:

I just changed my DC "room only" ressie to the FT package and for 9 days, 8 nights at the Poly, got a price of $2,736.05, which includes UPH for 2 adults and 2 children. My original "room only" ressie was 2267.04, so it was only $500 more with the FT package to include all of our UPH passes. great deal:D
I should mention that I'm staying there from Aug. 22 - Aug. 30th.

I called this morning for the POR for our family, staying 7 nights (8/4-10). Two adults, 3 kids in AB (trundle bed) for a week: Total including taxes and trip insurance was $1986.16.

Could some very nice DC Member price something out for me?

August 19 - 27th Coronado Springs, Waterview, 2 adults, 2 children.

Right now I'm paying rack rate and intending on getting 5 or 6 day PHP passes, so my total is $2484.84

I would greatly appreciate if some very nice caring DC member could price it for me! That way I could know if it truly is a deal for me.

Oh yes, please could you price it w/o insurance

Thank you ever so much in advance :)

Okay, I'll be the lone dissenter for now and say I'm not happy with this package.

Why? Well, I priced some things:
Basically the DreamMaker Package(DM) and the FairyTale Package(FT) are the same except you get a pin with the DM and a picture with the FT.
So I asked what 4 nights would cost with the DM, and then the 7 nights with "only paying for 4" for the FT package. Now you would think they would be the same right?

Nope, the FT package is almost $300 more! Why? That is what I would like to know too. When I asked DC, they just kept tap dancing around the issue and saying they were two different packages.

Personally, it looks like I'm still going to be looking for AP rates or codes after 7/4!

I agree. For those who really do not desire the ultimate hopper tix, there is not any real savings involved. Thus the reason I made a room-only ressie in the first place. I can still come out better with my original plan to book WL for 7 nights in Aug. with 5 day hopper passes. HOWEVER, I am now a little more than worried that room-only codes and/or AP rates may not be available. Considering booking this FairyTale package just in case it's the only deal offered?? Wish I knew what Disney was going to do!!

What am I doing wrong? I have an existing reservation (room only) for a 1 br at BCV for July 18-23. When I called this morning to see about the FT deal, the CM told me that there was nothing available. I do have a DC membership.

Am I stuck paying the full rate? Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!
