New code watch - October/November

I am also waiting for some kind of a deal...11/27 - 12/3. I have gone the last 2 years in December and both times there have been AP and a public code for use. Last year I used my AP for 3 rooms for family and other family just went throught the Disney website which had the winter or fall rate special can't remember which anyway, the public rate was just a few dollars more than the AP rate. We stayed at POFQ and I think our rate was something like $73 a night. Because this has happened the last two years I'm confident they will do something for the value season (11/27 - 12/19) again this year.

We are doing a grand gathering the week of Thanksgiving (Sun through Friday) and my sister called yesterday. They said they probably WOULD have the free dining for then also but the codes and discounts wouldn't come out until late July or early August.

We're going 10/7-10/17. I'm hoping that they extend the free dining, but will use DDE & AP if not. My dates were left out for any of the AP discounts for MNSSHP- which I believe is due to Murphy's Law.... I hope they will have something special for our time period, but not sure if I should expect it because we are arriving the Fri of Columbus Day weekend. I will cross everything and send buckets of pixie dust to all of us .

Waiting for codes for October 15-23. I have AAA rate for POFQ and YC. I hope that I can change to an AP rate, especially for the YC!

I'm waiting on AP rates for November 18 - 26 or 27. I need two rooms, so I think the AP discount may be better than free dining (if they end up extending it). My dad has AAA, so maybe it would be just as good for him to book the rooms.

October 15-22 at POFQ with a AAA rate of $126 a night. Looking for an AP rate that would have to save us at least $24 dollars a night (the additional expense of purchasing an AP) on our originial reservation or would allow us an upgrade to WL or AKL.

we are planning two trips- one in oct and one in dec. Honestly the way things are going Im not sure if I will be able to get a room only discount- either ap or fla resident. My friend who is a cm is going to book my rooms for the trips with her friends and family for 40% off- which is better than nothing. I'll keep those reservations and see what happens when the new rates come out in August. we already have AP and only go for 2 nights at a time so these new packages really dont work for us.

We're waiting for Oct 15-23. In anticipation of this trip we pre purchased an AP and multi-day non-expiring hoppers for our pre cruise stay in Feb. We also bought a DDE. Seeing I have these already, would it be possible to use a free dining deal, if one is offered for our dates. I thought I was being "cost smart" buying our tickets this way, but now am afraid I'll regret it.

At the top of the forum there is disney MYW package with free dining in red. Click on that link and it will give you all the details. The basics are book a package and pay rack rate for your room for check ins at the end of August - Oct 4th and purchase tickets you get the dining package free.

Yes, when codes are released you can call to see if they can apply the code to your existing ressie.

There is no guarantee the code will be available but it's always worth a try.

airplane - the current offers expire Oct 4th (I think that's the date) and are not for your time frame.

But, if a discount comes out later for your time you can call WDW travel company and they will give you one discount (meaning you have to pick the best one, offers are combinable) if it is available for the resort you want and you qualify for the discount (you have an ap for example if it's an ap code - whatever the conditions are . . . ).

Discounts are not available for every room type at every resort. They will be available where Disney needs to sell rooms. You can always switch to another type room or resort where there is a discount available, if there isn't one available for the room and resort you have.

I hope that's not too confusing.

I'll join. We have reservations for AKl the week of Thanksgiving, but after our recent 10 day trip to the World, DH thinks we've now "done Disney." Hmmm...we'll see about that.

Of course, now that I've seen more of the resorts, I'm thinking maybe GF instead of AKL...you couldn't GET more different, I know.

As we are a retired couple and are flexible we just go with the flow. If the offer is good enough we will go earlier but we would really like to go right after Thanksgiving, our favorite time, to see the Christmas decorations and such without the crowds. Never know what the weather will have in store though.

Joining in the wait. Typically there aren't a lot of codes for Thanksgiving weekend but for the last three years we've gotten great codes for the week after Thanksgiving.

Seems like forever away but I know it will be here soon. So am playing the waiting game with the rest of you for Nov. Dec timeframe.
