Hey All!:wave2:

Do you ladies out there buy cute new clothes for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World? I love wearing new shorts, pretty tops and cute flip flops to Walt Disney World. It just makes me feel really really REALLY GOOD! :goodvibesLOL! I also get a manicure and pedicure too!:rolleyes1

Anybody else do the same? I know it's a silly question but I just feel I like to be put together when I go to the parks and go out to dinner.

We'll be going to the Wilderness Lodge August 7 - 14! Can't Wait!

I do!!! Afterall I can't be wearing the same outfits in pictures from year to year I need new ones!!

I make all of our tshirt for each trip, but my big bathing suit hint is NOT to take a new one! We spend lots of time in the water parks, and the slides and tubes are pretty hard on suits. I take older ones, and then just toss them at the end of the trip.

I bought a few tops and skorts for our upcoming trip. Everyone got new flip-flops. I got a new swimsuit because I have one that I like to wear in public, and it is so old that it's starting to show wear and tear. I found a great sale at Landsend.com, so I'm super excited to try it out.

Me Too!! Love the shopping pre-trip - gets me so excited!! I always make sure I have some cute, cotton, flowy boho tops so they don't cling to me. I hate being so hot and having a tight tank top on - feels hotter! Plus, I like really light rayon or linen or cotton cargo shorts tht go just pass the knee. They are so airy and have pockets for my stuff - plus I feel so cute in them!:cutie:
I always get a mani/pedi and make sure to go to the salon for a full waxing :scared1:- who wants to shave everyday of vacay?? Not me! I'm trying to find an adorable bucket hat right now since I go at the end of August - and all the summer stuff is starting to go on sale! Whoo hoo!:woohoo:

Any excuse to shop! LOL! I bought a new dress and necklace for our anniversary dinner at Narcosee. May get a new top and a pair of shorts and I saw this cute mickey bathing suit online..
We always buy new flip flops in DTD when we arrive..

Obviously in the minority! Don't like to shop and I refuse to have multiple wardrobes! *LOL* Since I live in a very warm (try hot!) climate, my regular wardrobe works very well at WDW--except when it gets really cold in December! BTW, "really cold" is below 60 during the day and the 40s or lower at night!

Edited to add:

Usually I do try to have my hair cut about two weeks before visiting WDW. It becomes more manageable at that point. It tends to go BOING for the first week or two after be cut. :(

Hi Ladies!

I hear ya! I think we just love getting a new "something" before we go to Walt Disney World, no matter if it's a top, shorts, hair cut, pedicure or manicure. See how easy guys have it? LOL!

I have a tradition of getting my hair cut and colored before any Disney trip. Given that I have hair like Medusa, it really doesn't make much difference (And the Florida humidity doesn't help any either). Yes, I'm the woman you've seen wandering around the parks looking as though I've just stuck my finger into a light socket. ;)

I've already made a bunch of tee-shirts and sweatshirts for my next trip ... Once again, the parks need more Pluto-themed merchandise!

One thing I really need to invest in prior to my next trip: A pair of good walking shoes.

I don't like to spend too much on clothes for an upcoming trip, but throughout the year I've gotten some good deals on shorts and pants. Into the Disney Vacation Box they have gone!

:rotfl: Yes, my husband will usually tell me, "Just buy me some new socks."

I too normally buy a few things. It's a challenge really to find something to wear to WDW ;) Firstly we go not in the summer, in that time of year that's cool mornings and evenings, and hot at noon. Then you want to NOT look like a slob, but still be comfortable, and find some pants or shorts that go with comfortable shoes :lmao: Plus this year as I will be returning from Liberia shortly before going, I'm going full out when I get home :cool1: pedicure, waxing, haircut, new makeup...I don't think I've looked in the mirror for the past year :rotfl:

I'm getting the brows waxed and that is about it. No one wants to see me in a swimming suit :rotfl2:. If the old I have gets packed, good enough. I bought some plain t-shirts from Wal-Mart, but I needed some shirts and have been wearing them for a month now.

Oh, yes, we get new clothes. In fact, I usually have a custom Disney outfit made for my little girls for every day we are in the parks. The two older ones won't wear matching outfits anymore, so we just color coordinate.

I will get a pedicure and probably get my hair cut before we go. I will also buy us some new shirts to wear. I mean one of these photos will more than likely be our Christmas card photo so we want to look good! HA!

My kids were just saying yesterday that they didn't have anything to wear to WDW because they didn't have any shirts with Mickey Mouse on them. I am sure we will fix that problem before going. HA!

I bought 11 new shirts off of Zazzle. All but one of them is a Disney shirt. The other one is for the Last Tour to Endor party. I would rather be able to pick the design that I want and put movie quotes on them that I appreciate to make it a bit more unique than what they sell on property. Also, the quality of the plus sized shirts are really good! I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived.

Today I went to my local Target during my lunch hour and I picked up new underwear. When looking through my stuff for packing, I realized that my current bunch of undies was looking a little bit holy around the waistbands.

I am hoping to pick up some new socks before we go too. I already have a new pair of New Balance shoes that I have been saving for vacation and I will start wearing them to work next week to break them in before our arrival.

I have plenty of shorts and bras from the pre-purchase festivities before our December 2009 vacation.

Disney trips certainly help to stimulate our local economy. :thumbsup2

ETA: I am getting a haircut Saturday! I refuse to have any more hair on my head than necesary in that heat.
AETA: I already have swim attire from our 2007 trip.

Absolutely! I bought a bunch of tshirts for each day we are in the park. As a pp said, one of their pictures might be their Christmas card pic, and that goes for us as well. I've been planning my outfits for months.

I bought a few things for Kate, but nothing for Papa or myself. We have plenty of clothes and I'd go broke if I bought us new clothes every time we go on a trip!
