starting early January jetblue is turning some of their flights into seasonal flights, and changing some routes and ending some. I’m booked on a nonstop out of bwi for February and it’s been terminated. Not sure if they are only going to now fly nonstops during summer months, which is what they are doing on several routes. I can’t find any info where bwi will be other than January 7th is currently their last non stop to mco. I have to call for a refund now.

I am not surprised. Southwest is really pushing their BWI hub. I have noticed fewer Southwest non stops out of our local airport and more flights into BWI and other SW hubs. I can imagine that JetBlue was having trouble competing in a Southwest hub.

Hopefully you found out with enough time to rebook your travel without too much impact.

Having to get a refund posted for my February flight

Where did you find this news?

I saw it on the jetblue FB Page. I then googled it as it was released today. I’ve have contacted jetblue and confirmed it. I don’t have any options so have to call and cancel my flight before they book me on a flight from DC to Boston to fly to Orlando. That was my only option, so I said no thanks. And my flight was over prez weekend in February. So sad.

They still have 4 daily nonstop flights out of Reagon DCA. If that's doable for you, they should switch you to that for no additional charge (at least, I hope they would)

Yes, that’s where we’re leaning. Dca is a 2-3 hour drive from WV for us on a weekend. Unpredictable on a work day. Spent 30 years commuting to DC and it still haunts us. Looking at Chrystal city for parking options. Any recommendations?

we booked a spot with airportparkingreservations.com

We choose courtyard crystal city. 2899 Jefferson Davis highway

Only a few blocks from the airport, shuttle comes very frequently, good hours for late/early flights, and indoor garage.

Didn't want to hear this. BWI pretty much now has to rely on SW and fares for 2019 have doubled in some instances. The less expensive fares are late in the evening or connecting.

Thank you very much. We may give this a try in February. I was looking and saw this, so good to know someone who used it. Our trip is 14 days. We will missing the parking spot at bwi though.

I have used airportparkingreservations.com a few times out of DCA (and Dulles) and it all worked out fine. I think I paid like $7 or $8 per day which is cheaper than the DCA economy lot.

Just as an fyi...you can pre-pay and reserve space at DCA: https://dcaparking.mwaa.com/ReaganNewBooking/CarParking/CarParkingEntryPage.aspx

Expensive, but convenient.

Thank you. We started exploring them and trying to figure the best way to dca from the panhandle of WV. Trying to make the best of the situation.

n2mm....as soon as I saw this announcement from JetBlue I thought of you.Not good news for you, hope something works out that is not too much of a hassle.

Sadly, a nonstop flight from Boston to MCO in March that I had been watching for a few awhile has disappeared from the JetBlue site.

Just got my official email today. I have 7-10 days to decide how I want to proceed. Either keep the new proposed connecting flight, full refund, or choose another airport - DCA
