A "Change Itinerary" option has been added to the Travel Center on southwest.com. I believe this feature was previously limited to SWABIZ corporate travel access.
With this feature you can recall an existing PNR and change the itinerary or travel dates, the system reprices the new routing and, presumably, handles any add collect or leaves a credit balance for future use. The changed itinerary retains the same PNR. This really makes it easier to change to the lower fare when cheap web fares come out.

What a breeze compared to bouncing between two windows (cancelling and booking) and no fear of losing the seats or the ticketless travel funds!

Great news and thanks from an ol' veteran of the cancel and rebook method.

Now why didn't I read this yesterday morning :D At one point, I had at least 3 windows open since I also signed my daughter up for a frequent flyer #.

Good info. for the next time though! Thanks.

WHat if I have already booked travel and paid for it, can I go into my itinerary, switch to the new fares and get some money back?
