new Cannon wanted - Help decide?

Ok, I have a canon S500 (LOVE IT!) but need something (a) lighter (b) smaller and (c) faster for our trip to Disne a the end of January . I want to stay with the canon family (had a pansonic and am not crazy about the pics ) but need some advice on which model to buy. I have two little ones (4 and 2) so fast pics (fast on too) is a must.

Anyone out there LOVE their canon and want to recommend I take a look at purchasing it?

But I saw that you have not had a response so I will throw in my two cents. I am not familiar with your camera, so I google searched it and honestly couldn't believe you were looking for smaller and lighter? You should have seen what I toted around on my last trip (Rebel xti W/lenses and tripod in many situations). Anyway I would ask you if you are happy with the pictures it takes, why are you looking for something that will probably in the end not give you the pictures you wanted to remember? Smaller, lighter and faster often come at a price of picture quality. So if you are familiar with your camera and happy with the pictures it produces, I would suggest making the best of your situation rather than buying a new camera that might not produce the results you are hoping for, because I don't feel like you will find a much more compact camera that you will be happy with.
