New Busch Ride

What is the new ride like at Busch Gardens? It looks amazing if not slightly scary. Also anyone know is there any plans for Islands or SeaWorld to build a new ride?

Sheikra is Scary, Especially the first time on it.I've been on some of the tallest and fastest coasters out there like Dragster and Millenium force at Cedar Point but I was truly nervous as it did the turn to go down the first drop, which is pretty intense!! 90 degrees straight down from 200 feet up has to be intense. The rest of the ride is great but could have been a bit longer but it's a great ride nonetheless.

Another cool thing about the ride is that it's a coaster and a show at the same time.People just sit and watch the people willingly get soaked as the coaster's fins hit the wall of water and create a huge splash.

As far as IOA goes I hear they're supposed announce their new ride in Jurassic Park sometime this year. I hope it's a coaster and not the rumored Jeep ride, which would be cool, but I really want a coaster!!I don't know of any plans for a new ride at Sea World.They do have a new one of a kind waterpark scheduled to open in 2007.

Thank for you response. I am glad you like the new ride. Shame it does not last longer as once you get past the drop I guess you are well into the ride then. They say its 3 mins long but i guess that includes getting too the top.
I had no idea IOA was gettinga new ride. I really hope it is something really good and not a kids ride. I did not see them building last year, but I guess they have enough foom to hide it.

sheikra is amazing! I have truely never seen my husband so scared in his life!!! that first drop is so intense and the long climb up really gets the nerves going! ....im tempted to go back to Busch just for this ride alone!

I am so looking for to my next visit. Is the first drop really the only good bit or is the rest really good also? Does it go upside down.

Sheikra is a great ride. The first drop is so awesome. It is very short though. Also if you are a pooh sized person you have to sit in the middle row in the seat with the 2 belts. Seemed a little rediculous to me but those were the rules. The ride is great though. This is a link to a photo of the coaster I took. The quality isn't that great. We forgot the camera that day and only had my camera phone.

Thanks for your replies. Everyone seems to say that it is a bit short which is a shame if they go to all that effort. Did you have to sit in the larger seats on the other coasters? What do you class as a Pohh sized person?

We rode Sheekra and were disappointed. I was very nervous going up the 1st hill, but the drop was so fast, you hardly paid any attention to the fact that it was vertical. Also, it just wasn't long enough. Scary looking yes, but not hugely impressive.

I will ride it again, but spend the majority of my time riding Kumba and Montu!

As for SeaWorld. No word on a new ride, but they are planning a really awesome water park next door.

SimonV and I both thought SheiKra was a fantastic ride! The first drop is rather heart-pounding, but it's so smooth it really does feel like flying. I don't always like the bigger drops, but this one didn't feel uncomfortable at all. I pronounced it my new favorite, or possibly a tie with The Hulk.

On the whole seems like a fantastic ride. A new water park woudl be great, but probably won't happen for maybe 2/3 years as I guess these things take time.
