Beginning 2/21/10, Disney will no longer run the buses from HS to WWoS. Replacing it will be two new bus routes. One will go back and forth between WWoS and the AS resorts and the other will run from WWoS and stop at POP and the Custom House at CBR. These buses will run evry 30 minutes or so and leave WWoS on the hour and half hour.

This is great news for those staying at POP, CBR and AS, where a large majority of the sports teams stay but what about those who are staying at other resorts and want to go see a Braves game or some other event at WWoS.

The elimination of the HS to WWoS bus means that guests, who are not staying at AS, CBR or POP, will now have to take 3 buses to get to WWoS. I guess Disney felt that this change would not affect too many people. They may be right but we shall see.

Really...it's a much better solution than the one bus from DHS. More sports groups stay in these resorts. But, if someone at, BW for instance, wants to get over to WWoS, they can just go to DHS and take the bus to POP from there. Same for any other resort guest.
Nothing is going to be perfect for everyone. You have to make the most happy that you can. I really can't see Disney running buses to WWoS from all resorts every 30 mins. It would be much more feasible to run them every few hours...and even then there are going to be those who need to be there at a time that wouldn't be served by that bus schedule. Not to mention there would be only a few people on a lot of those buses...Disney isn't going to run buses for just 3 or 4 people.
With them running the buses, every 30 mins, from the values and CBR, they are hitting the majority of guests who would be heading over to WWoS. It's a pretty decent solution I think.

I can't wait until the Disney Bowling Stadium is built at WWoS. I am just wondering how Disney Transport is going to get all of those bowler around property with all of their bowling equipment.... we will see!

Oh MAN! Thats what I said to DH and his bowling friends! They all have a minimum of a 3 ball bag and one has a 5 ball bag! Then they have a ton of crap that goes with it  Annoys the crap out of me, but to each their own.

Those of us that bowl a lot (I average 230) can sure get over the top. My typical tournament set up includes 6-8 bowling balls. I try to have a rolling bag that can handle 5 bowling balls and I usually bring along a 2 ball shoulder tote. Add in shoes, towels, and other needed stuff like tape, cleaner, etc.. and you are talking some equipment.

I would bet I will be renting a car to handle my "extra" luggage. I typically ship my stuff UPS or Fed Ex to the tourney site, but I still have to lug it around while the tourney is going on.

Sounds like DH, he has 3 different balls he uses for league. Then for state he brings 5 balls. I bowl and I have a 1 ball bag and my shoes. They make fun of me for being the amateur  I don't really care what my average is, though, I just bowl for the social aspect. They bowl for places and money and stuff like that. When he goes to state only 2 people to a car, though, for how much crap they bring. And guys say girls haul too much stuff, I've never been on a trip where we could only fit 2 people to a car because of how much stuff we're bringing :lmao:

Well, color me stupid...who knew!!! Thought alls you needed was a ball and some shoes. Why would you need multiple balls??? Just curious.

If the lanes are dry vs. oily. Where the shift is, different balls have weights placed in different spots. So those that throw a hook can switch balls that hook sooner vs. later depending on where the lane shifts. Its a bunch of gobbly-gook to me since I have a plastic ball and just throw it straight and have an average of 121, lol.
