Help me out because I'm not tech savvy whatsoever. I've had this laptop for about 6 years now and I just have this feeling it's going to give out on me any day now. Some web pages are starting to not load. I have to constantly reload programs and restart it. Starting to freeze fairly consistently. It was a floor model computer that I got for a good price and now we're ready for a new one.

I use it mainly for web browsing/shopping. Listen to music occasionally. Create documents here and there. My kids (DS5 and DS7) use it for school programs (Ticket To Read, Imagine Learning, Starfall) a few times a week. I do work as a Disney Vacation Planner but it is VERY part-time. So I don't do TOO much work on the computer.

I'm looking to stay at or around $250 (under would be great). I don't know if I want a traditional laptop or the dual ones. I can be convinced either way. I'm not one to dwell over a computer needing to be extra lightweight but also don't want to lug around a brick OR need to bring out a magnifying glass to see the screen. (I actually don't travel ALL that much but the computer does go everywhere - we travel away from home an average of every 2 months) I've tried researching myself and there are just SO many options! Help :guilty:

Have you considered a Chromebook? It'll be a little different computing experience (most of your docs/pics/etc. will be stored in the cloud) but it has other advantages such as security and cost. You can get some quite nice ones in your price range.

I have considered it, I'm just not sure about the adjustment to Google Docs from Word. I don't use it all that often but is it even something to worry about? Is Google Docs pretty easy?

I use Google Docs for work and have for nearly 6 years. It's amazing. And if you can work Microsoft Office, you'll get Google Docs easily.
