New Board suggestion

This is not intended to be mean or thoughtless but maybe the moderators could create a disease/illness board. There seem to be a large amount of threads for people that have some kind of illness or disease or surgery of some kind.

Maybe it merits it's own board?

Just a thought.

Why, does it bother you?

If we had different boards for every type of problem people have on the CB we'd have more boards than VB can handle.

The CB is for people to come for comfort, fun and comaraderie. Sometimes it's here for those of us who can't talk to anyone about in RL.

How about a "Clique" and "Games" board? Right now half of the first page is just that!

I never said it bothered me. Different boards for every type of problem would be great! Everything would have it's place and it would be so much easier to navigate the boards. Just like your hard drive should have seperate folders for individual programs, the DIS board should have seperate boards.

I don't dispute your assessment of the reason for the CB. I think it is a great place to discuss anything and everything. I just like things neat and tidy.

I would go nuts having a different board for every little thing. I enjoy the variety of posts and such on the Community Board. Other than the Debate Board, I don't visit too many others except on occasion.

would you all rather have the ya-ya's or the Swan Dolphin "clique" start several threads and see more than one on the first page for each "clique"?

At least they/we stick to one thread and not fill the front page with multiple threads.

My AMC thread could be many different pages like Mondays Show comments , Tuesday's show comments.....etc.....

people would be complaing about that next.

I had to double check and make sure I didn't post this to the Debate board by mistake.

I totally agree with DukeStreetKing. A PD Board, or something to that degree, would be nice.

I asked if it bothered you because I have also suggested to have separate boards for things that BOTHER me! But unlike most of the people on this board I am obligated to read things that I don't like or would rather go past. You guys have that option.

We've split up the CB before, for the Military families when it got overwhelming last year at the start of the war, and for celebratory things that used to take up more than half of the front page. Unfortunately we cannot do that for every subject on this board so we just have to deal with it.

Sorry you had a hard time with this DSK but do realize that there are people here who have posted threads asking for prayer or PD during a crisis and might be defensive of your post. The typical reaction to offense is defense. The title should tell you what it's about and you can avoid it. I personally have LOTS of pet peeves so I know it going in and try not to dive in (though I have to some of the time!). You can do the same.

LOl, I had to chuckle at this suggestion! I would be on there everyday reading it, and thinking that I was going to come down with the latest illness.

Not a good thing for those of us with hypochondriac tendencies!
