Just a suggestion for Dave though; "direct flights" are not the same as "non-stop flights" which is what I suspect he was referring to. In the airline business a direct flight means you don't change planes, but you may make a stop. Its a small distinction, I know.

I thought that you had great suggestions - we also don't go to the park on the day that we arrive. We like to relax at the hotel after the flight etc.
