Thank you for sharing! We are going for the first time ever to the party and the first time ever to MK! Next week!

But if you watch behind the castle you miss all of the cool projections on the castle! This year will be our first party, but last time we went in the Fall many years ago they were "practicing" the fireworks on a non-party night and we got lucky enough to see them. Loved the ghosts!

Can't wait to see all of it for the first time. The parade looks awesome!!!

If it is your first time seeing the fireworks by all means watch it from the front side of the castle.

There is something to be said for not having to camp out and save your spot if you are viewing them from behind the castle. They were pretty impressive without seeing the front of the castle.

Plenty of places for everyone to be happy when watching the fireworks.

Great blog !! I loved this party.

Says an annual pass holder ;) Just teasing, you are so lucky that you get to see them so often! Are the fireworks really crowded on party nights? Does a view in front of the require camping out way in advance? We don't need to be right in front of the castle but I do like to be on mainstreet area close enough so we can see most of the projection stuff. I was hoping the lower crowd level would make it a little easier to get a good spot for stuff, but it sounds like it will still be just as hard.

To be fair, this is a hard ticket event, so having an annual pass doesn't help. She does have the advantage of being local, so she saves travel expenses and can go more often.

There are projections during the fireworks? There's Celebrate the Magic (which I loooove), but that is performed immediately before fireworks as well as a half hour or so after.

I regularly watch the fireworks from a random spot, then wait for people to move out and slide in for the second Celebrate the Magic.
