New Beach Club Rumor

I hear, from a very reliable source, that the lobby and public areas of the Beach Club Resort will begin renovations beginning in December.

Looks like the Beach Club will be getting a new look.......

I really hope not as we will be there in December over Christmas and New Year as we are stying at the BCV. I can't believe they would begin renovations leading up to their busiest time of year!!

We were considering staying there in early January, but we may go elsewhere if there will be major work going on.

I realize you can't "reaveal" your source There are reporters willing to go to jail for that!

But can you say something like: this person works at the BC, or with the construction company hired or is this person someone who cuts Aunt Rita's hair and her boyfriend's cousin's uncle heard someone talking about it into a cell phone (that was fun!)

And do you know how much renovating we are talking about? Are we talking a new paint job and new furniture....or is it walking on wooden planks to get to the customer service desk?

He is also a major contributor to the newsletter and was the first to break the news about the major rehab at the Contemporary (the same story that was "used" almost word-for-word in a local Orlando newspaper without permission by an author who shall remain nameless).

You can choose to believe Kevin's rumors or not - I personally believe him and his source.

I knew there was some reason that DVC put up those extra lobbies - are they going to move the front desk over there? or leave it where it is?

okay that is detailed stuff that you probably don't know.

Okay-anything a little more specific-I thought they just did some rehab - new store-counter service food etc.

I'll be there in December and would like a little more info please.

What makes you think Sept-Oct.? We will be there in mid Oct and I would probably switch to a different resort if there will be rehab going on..soft or hard.
