New "Authentic" Italian Restaurant in Epcot

I heard it's supposed to open late 2010, but nothing more concrete then that.

Anyone know the planned opening date?

I haven't heard anything other than that they are opening a CS pizza location in Italy this year -- it's already being constructed.

Where are you reading whatever you are reading? I thought Tutto Italia was already pretty authentic, as much as you get at WDW anyway.

This is the one I am referring to - the CS Pizza in Italy... (I read it on the Disboards a while ago).

Sorry when I said Authentic Italian - I meant "More Authentic Pizza".

Earliest date I've seen estimated is sometime in September but that's just estimated, it's not concrete at all. There is as of yet no official opening date.

There's also no confirmation as to whether this restaurant will be CS, TS, or both, just that it will serve pizza.

Says it will be a 300-seat restaurant featuring outdoor dining. Doesn't sound like it will only be pizza either- the blog post says it will feature pizza as well as Italian dishes to "[compliment] the offerings at Tutto Italia." As Nala said, it doesn't mention table service vs. counter service, but the description on the blog definitely makes me think that at least the major component of the place will be table service.

And yeah, I was thinking it would be a table service place with a counter service pizza window. I don't really see why they would bother to mention that the restaurant will serve Italian meals that will compliment Tutto Italia if it was planned to be counter service only since then they wouldn't be in direct competition with each other. Of course, this is all speculation anyway. Either way, for pizza (as long as it's good)!

It's not a pizza window - it's rather a good-size building according to photos that are out. Whether or not it will actually have a pizza window as part of it isn't known yet.
