Since our last trip to WDW/DCL was a total surprise to our kids, we wanted to make a fun count-down calendar for them to count down the days until our next trip. Here it is.

How cute!! We have a disney character paper chain and we've been taking one link off each night before bed. They kept asking every day if we're going tomorrow, lol, so I figured it would give them a good frame of reference. They loved making it! 25 days to go for us!

We are staying at the Fairfield Inn (decided this might be better since we would save $200+ over staying onsite at the Paradise Pier) and our dates are: August 8-13!! Yippee!!

thanks blackjack! I'm so excited now that the hotel portion is purchased! I just have to buy the park tickets, book the shuttle from airport, baseball tickets, train tickets to SD, hotel in SD...here's our itinerary so far:

August 8: Anchorage-Seattle-Anaheim, leaving at 1230a, getting to Anaheim 920a
August 8: Airport shuttle to hotel, Check into Fairfield Inn, not sure what we will do this day...probably unpack, maybe nap or rest, shopping at the Block at Orange or do Anaheim Gardenwalk and then go to the parks later in the afternoon/evening
August 8-12: Disneyland, California Adventure, Downtown Disney!
August 10 or 11: Angels evening game!!
August 13: Check out and leave Disney (sniff, sniff) take taxi to Amtrak station, take a sweet ride to San Diego!
August 13-15: Seaworld? Balboa Park/museums, trolley to Coronado island, sightsee..
August 16: Home sweet Home.
August 17: Back to school for the kids, back to work! (boo hoo)

Thanks!! I like the paper chain idea. I actually thought about making a paper chain, but my kids got very frustrated with one of those we did at Christmas for the Christmas Tree. I used my Cricut to make the big Mickey heads and the words. I LOVE using my Disney cartridge for the Cricut and take as many opportunities as I can to use it. (The smaller Mickey heads are the paint chips from Home Depot)
