There are always cool new things to add to the Universal atmosphere. So how about this? What if they added a cool new segment to the park. We all know that Universal has too many rides that are oriented towards kids now (think about it, Nicktoons, Shrek 4-D, Curious George-the entire section, and E.T.), so what if we either took some things down (should be some of the Curious Geroge Playground) or added a segment to the park some where near World Expo, and put a ride/show based on what the people of the park choose. For instance, what if the ride was about the making of movies, and it brought you through buildings showing you all the props. But then there was a stopping point half-way, where there a three tunnels. A voting key-pad is in your cart and the people vote which way to go down. The majority vote decides and each way has a different adventure and end to the ride. It would definetly make people want to go on again and again!

What do you think?

Thanks

That sounds like a good idea but Universal has to keep kiddie rides in order for the families to continue coming. If they took them out, you wouldn't have nearly the number of visitors they have now. Again...I think it's all about expansion and the lack of room for it. That said...I do like your idea and the ride seems like it would be fun for all but I don't see it happening.

has there been any news lately regarding Universal buying more property?

I remember some time ago that they thought about building another hotel...

Anyone know more about this?

I agree. We were in Orlando for 16 days last summer and spent the majority of our time at US/IOA because it had something for everyone. We had 5 children in our party ranging in age from 3.5 - 16. If US/IOA didn't have enough for all of us to do/see we most likely wouldn't have spent as much time there. For example in our 16 days we did: Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum (1/2 day), Sea World (2 days), Wet n' Wild (1 day), Busch Gardens (2 days), WDW (1 day), Kennedy Space Center (1 day) and US/IOA was the big winner at 7 days. All of the kids had a wonderful time and are still talking about it.

Very creative idea. But I have to agree with others that the "kiddie rides" should not be removed. Universal already has a reputation of being aimed at the "older kids". They need to keep rides & attractions which cater towards the younger ones.
I like the ride concept, though.

Okay, well if they were able to expand the park, it would be cool, but I see your point about the kids rides, and the last thing I would do is get rid of the ET ride.

universal had the tram rides that took you through the park and showed you some of the things you mentioned. i adored that!!

that was back in 1993-4.
then it stopped.

i like uo the way it is.
i still miss king kong, the ghostbusters show and a few other things.

ET is not only for the kids...................:rolleyes1

ET never gets old to us.Hope they never take it out!!!

Well, we've all decided on the idea that they shouldn't remove ET. But even though its new, would you be willing to remove Nicktoons for this ride I desigined?
