New at Mypoints -- how to ensure getting points??

I am not clear about procedure to be sure that I get points when I order from a participating company. I placed a LARGE order from JCPenney, linking from the mypoints site, but did not get any sort of reference to earning points, which makes me a little nervous.

Any advice and experiences would be much appreciated!

Not every link will make mention of MyPoints points. JCPenney is one of those. My advice would be to keep a copy of every confirmation email that you get and notify MyPoints after 20 business days if the points do not appear in your account. I have never been denied the points that I earned but I have had to fight for them a couple of times with several emails going back and forth between me and customer care.

I also have had to email numerous times to get my points credited. However, on the up side, I have never had a problem getting JC Penney points credited, though for some reason instead of one credit, it is always posted as credits for each individual item ordered.
