New AP rates are out!!

Sadly values are not available for an AP discount till 8/9 and even then only sports is open at least till the 18th. I tried putting it in all different ways including with the dining plan and got nada. Bummer

What dates are you actually looking for?

That is what I paid for the one night, with tax it came to $73 & change.

ETA: Values are $25 off & Moderates $50 off, not sure about deluxes.

Okay so the rate for the values is $64? Isn't that pretty high? I thought they would be at least $59 like the PIN code. $64 is only about 20%. I haven't done the math for the others maybe they are a higher percentage...

Values must work out to about a 25% discount as I already had a 20% w/AAA and changing to AP rates saved a couple of dollars a night. Like I said earlier -- not much of a savings but it did allow us to add DDP without another ticket purchase which is great as we already had to buy a 1-day base when we recheck-in on the 24th for free DDP.

Got it. I keep forgetting that AP is usually a dollar amount and not a percentage.

I am actually looking for 8/3-8/18 I have broken it up by taking a day off to see if it will come up for those dates and on 8/10 I can get ASSp till the 18th but that's it nothing earlier.

I just checked again and still nothing. I am keeping hopeful and even if nothing comes up I will be at Disney and that's all that matters. If you see anything open for my dates let me know.

Thanks

I just tried every which way as well and could only come up with ASMO for 8/8-8/18...never did find any dates @ POP (I hate to think what the crowds are going to be like there). Keep trying though as they may still be some people that cancel. Good Luck!

Thanks for trying. Hey at least you were able to pull up ASMO I couldn't even get that resort only prefered ASsports or regular ASmusic.

I just booked WL courtyard view for 2 nights 8/8-8/10. It was about $440 compared to the $620 rack rate. I was hoping for the $144/nt standard rooms at AKL or WL but none were available. The only other things available were POR and the Floridian. I guess I will just call and check back every couple of days to see if any more standard rooms have been released to the AP program. I just ordered my AP so it will be a couple of weeks before the voucher it arrives so I can use the web site.

FYI since this is my first 2 days of my visit (before 5 DVC 1br OKW 2 Sanibel and 2 DVC BCV studio) and I am arriving at 11:30 pm I will not have my AP when I check in but apparently as long as I have my voucher (hope it arrives quickly) I am ok with that.

Thank goodness for this thread - stumbled on it the other night - immediately started searching for AKL & yesterday afternoon managed to get 2 nights @ AKL in September for DH & I to celebrate our anniversary. One last trip before the AP's expire! Absolutely can't wait - we've never stayed at AKL & DH wants to experience the animals. :lovestruc

Has anyone had any luck booking the Poly either regular room or concierge for early August? I keep checking but nothing comes up. I have never been at this resort when it is completely full and am a little concerned about crowds.

Do you get the DDP at a reduced rate with the AP? You all keep talking about adding it at the AP rate. What is the AP rate for the DDP? DDP rate is not reduced for DVC members, but I was planning to buy an AP this year anyway.

::yes::

I just got back from a trip using AP rate with DDP added. There is only a room discount, no discount on the DDP. But if you have a Disney Visa you can get the package at 0% for 6 months!

I booked the bounceback offer while I was there and checked the AP site when I found out they are offering discounts to see which deal is better. The bounceback offer was exactly the same for me as the AP rate. BTW- I know weekends are sometimes higher, but I didn't think that applied to Value season. For some reason 2 of the nights during my dates are more expensive and these are on a Sun. & Mon. 9/28 & 29.:confused3 I know Rosh Hashanah is on 9/30, but this doesn't make sense to me.

The AP offer is from 8-3 to 9-27.

Can someone please explain some of the terms I'm seeing - like AP rate and Bounce back. Thanks!

AP=Annual Pass Rate. You must purchase an annual pass to Disney to be eligible for reduced room rate.

Bounceback=Rate some people are offered to prebook their next vacation while staying at a Disney resort.

I just got the Poly at AP rate for August 3-6 (saves us $300 yay!).
Been looking since yesterday and it finally came up as available about an hour ago.

Just because it shows as unavailable at AP rate doesn't mean it's full. We were there last July and it was busy, but the resort is spread out enough so that you don't feel crowded.

Disney now allows AP holders to book a package with DDP and still get AP discount on the room AND not have to purchase a park pass. I think DVC members have always been allowed to purchase DDP without a park pass.

Called this morning --- There are currently no standard value rooms available with the AP discount for the above dates.

Glad I booked ASMo with my AAA discount way back in January - I think the difference is only $5 per night, so this is not a big deal.
