New AP holder with room rate ??

I'm new to this whole AP thing and I was wondering when new rates come out? I am planning a trip in May and I am chomping at the bit to book a room. I'm going to have to wait, aren't I? When can I start looking for AP codes for May?

I would go ahead and book your room so you have a place, then when the codes come out just call back and modifiy your ressie to get the discount. If the patter holds like in the past, it will be around easter. . .
