New Annual Membership

Mine was a renewal. From everything I’ve read, there’s no way to buy a really new AP right now.
You can if you cancelled during the closure, otherwise you can't, just not sure if member services can handle that one.

They have a recovery offer for anyone who had an AP that canceled it during closure or it expired during closure. Doesn’t matter whether it was DVC, FL resident or general public.

If you canceled an AP during closure, you call the AP line..even if it was DVC..They will take your information, verify, and then call back in a few weeks and allow you to buy.

But other than that, no one else can get one. It applies to all types of APs.
I had passes canceled during the closure. Original expiration date was august 19. If I call for the recovery offer, how does the clock start on it? Do you know if I can wait to activate it?

If you cancelled your passes, you can buy new passes (at full new pass rate, not renewal rate) and get a voucher that you can activate any time through 12/31/2030. Call the VIP Passholder line.

As posted in a few other threads, please be aware that this can take some time to process. The passholder line will only take your details and advise you about a callback after placing your request in a queue. The current callback wait-time is 2-3 weeks. I’ll be at 3 weeks in just a few days. The passholder line can still take your calls and answer some questions, but apparently another division actually processes the transaction - and they are only make outgoing calls and processing requests in the order received.

I have a trip in early April. With the park reservation system that is currently in place, I had to purchase a park ticket in order to not lose days at the parks as reservations were beginning to fill on some days. I was advised that my ticket purchase could be applied towards my annual pass when I receive a callback. Please keep this in mind if you have an upcoming trip in the next few months, as it may affect your decision making process and planning.

Got the call yesterday to restore my cancelled annual pass, very happy to move forward! The ticketing representative had all of the information necessary to process my request and was able to apply a general ticket purchase previously made and my DVC discount towards the total cost to complete the purchase. All in, I was 1 day shy of 4 weeks to complete the process. She also confirmed that my previous park reservations remained valid as she modified my ticket. For those of you who are still waiting, stay on the lookout for your call from area code (407) 🙂

I was on the phone with Member Services today and was told that they are NOT selling new annual passes but I can renew the pass I have as long as it is within 30 days of the expiration date. My current annual passed expires 3/18/21. When I try to renew online, my only option is a premium annual pass - not the Gold Pass I currently have and it is over $1,000.
Has anyone renewed their annual pass by calling Member Services? If so, how much are they now costing?
Thanks for the help.

Yes, we've always had to renew DVC Gold APs by calling MS, not online. I can't access the prices online, but @Sandisw renewed recently and posted that it was around $650 including tax, IIRC.

You can if they ever call you back, it has been over a week and I am still waiting, I call back and get told to wait some more.....how hard is it to just see I have one that was cancelled and sell me one?
It took me 4 calls to get a cast member who sold me an AP. I always ask, "When should I call back if I haven't heard from Disney?"
This is last fall.
