 ...to say HELLO to you, KIMMAR!! (And also to all the fellow WL-DISers!) I KNOW you are mucho busy...but wanted you to know you are LOVED, and on my mind frequently.
Take care...

TTFN...DF99 ;)

loubelou~ I booked my parents a VWL studio by renting points from a DVC owner and they loved it. The room seemed more spacious since there was only one bed and a couch, but they also had a coffee maker, mini-fridge, and microwave. Their view was good if you looked out, but if you looked down, there was the service court! It was a bit of a walk back to the lodge, so if that is important, request to be in a room as close to the lodge as possible. Or if view is more important, request that! Have a great stay! (I will be staying there a few days before Thanksgiving.)

Kimmar~ Hello, girl! Glad to see you haven't succumbed to the pressures of "the job"! Hang in there, it does get better, doesn't it? Well, doesn't it?? :p

Has anybody found out what this big secret is that Fred is planning (or is everyone being vewy, vewy, quiet!) Inquiring minds want to know, here! I might even be persuaded to send photos for a hint! LOL! (I'll probably send them anyway, but don't tell him or I'll lose my leverage here....)

Good day all.....

We just couldn't see paying $311.09 for one night's stay when we are probably going to be at the parks most of the day since it is our last day. So, our boys (especially the 6 yo) have been wanting to stay at the ASMo. We looked at the pictures of several of the hotels on TourGuideMike last night and my youngest was mesmerized by the ASMo. So, I called back and booked a standard there for $86.24. I don't think I'd want to stay at the All-Stars for an enitire trip, but I think my kids will love it for one night. Plus I'm saving over $200 this way that we can put towards food or souvenirs. We'll try the villas another time when I don't have to pay rack rate.

Just bumping us up!

And checking in to say hello, and good night! Hope everybody is well and you in the single digits are all packed and ready!!! Have a nice day tomorrow everybody!:)

I have an almost silly question...but are there clocks in the rooms at the WL? I am preparing my "what to pack list" and I have a question mark next to this one.

Liv2CdWorld - Can you tell me what type of food / beverage was available in the concierge "lounge"? We are traveling with a 16 month and I am trying to decide how many snacks I should pack for the week. Thanks!!

Wow! This is a great thread :) I'm learning lots about WL ... now if I can only get a room for December *lol* All of the rooms at the AP rate are gone ... I guess I will keep phoning or split a stay with AKL :) Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Whoa, that countdown clock is pretty depressing. I guess I'm not so green with envy anymore. ;)

You could also look at it positively and say to yourself, "I've got all this time now to anticipate my trip and visit these boards!

Glad I could help out! Yep lots of time to save and dream of how to SPEND it. LOL:)

Corky805 You are right, my clock IS the saddest- probably the longest EVER too. And, thanks for hoping the time flies off, see, we are already doing the 3digit dance.LOL

Majestic Thanks, yep that clock is LONGGGGGGG, I hope it passes quickly too--wanna trade?? :)

whizkid

We just got back from our trip at the VWL, we however rented points for our 1 bedroom villa for 5 nights Sunday through Thursday and then moved to a concierge room our last night there on Friday night. Because renting points on a Friday or Saturday is more expensive it was more economical for us to move to the main lodge for the last night. I assume you have reserved a 1 bedroom, and you wont regret it. We LOVED it. We had a view of the timber on the opposite side of the pool, facing the walkway to the bus stop, but Im telling you it was beautiful. We had corner room #5528, which I think is laid out differently than some of the other rooms which arent on a corner, we had two balconies and the jacuzzi tub was worth the entire thing as I could soak forever with my Micky mouse bubble bath I bought at BC . Kids had a ball with bubble baths too. :) THe kitchen area is not huge, but personally I refuse to cook on vaca. We did stop off and get some stuff like cereal and milk, juice, bottled water, so it was nice to have somewhere to put it all and not worry about fetching ice all the time. We are a family of 5 (youngest is 2 so no flaming about occupancy please) and we had plenty of room. We also had access to room service, and I was concerned about how long it would take with the distance from main lodge to our room but I shouldnt have, we ordered room service for breakfast one am, and they were there in about 5 minutes no kidding. If you have any other questions please dont hesitate to PM me or post it, Id be glad to share any pics i have.= YES Majestic for room views to you too.!!!!LOL

Bear Neces I'm sorry to say that your countdown clock makes mine look like its just around the corner! But keep the faith, I have been where you are, and look at it as an opportunity to plan, plan, plan!

LOLOL Yes that is exactly how I , ahem, we are looking at it. Im thinking maybe doing the silver plan next time, but I dont think I can do that and Rent points too.. LOLOL :::sigh:::

BTW I know about hectic first few weeks of school. WE have been back home for 2 weeks now, but 2 days after we got back our two oldest started school. One first year of Jr high, and the 2nd a Kindergartner. What a nightmare. PD that this week will be better for both you and dd.

Bear Necessities - that is one sorry looking countdown. But hey, at least you have one right ;)

Right!! Im still trying to convince dh to maybe go in 2005 instead of 2006, then I would only have a year and a half or so instead of this dismal thing. LOL I also enjoyed the view from the upper floors. Im not sure if this is a hidden mickey or not, but it should be, If you look down from the pool side of the rails and look down into the lobby, the rugs look like mickey- head and ears. My 5 yrold spotted it. Very cute.

Liv2CdWorld

Your pictures are great! Especially the one of MK at night. WOW, makes me wish we had requested north side for our last night.

Thanks for sharing.

No I did not. Where did you send them? wdwwl@majesticnetworks.net?? Just checked now. Nada.

As for the secret, I can't give it out till I get back. See, it depends on quite a few variables and I don't want to pop the cork before it's time. If all goes well, I will let you all know via a post while I am there or when I get back.

I hope this works. I think it will be fun! You'll see.

4 days to go. Nothing packed still. Still stuff to pick up on the shopping list. The next few days will be hectic. Also, went to the Giants / Rams game yesterday. GO GIANTS! Wooohoo!

Just checkin in to say Hi to the WL Vets. Those who are leaving soon have a good trip and get the lodge ready for me ;)

Majestic, after our trip we'll hopefully have a picture or two to send to you.

Thanks! I will look forward to them. Make sure to get a balcony view pic for me too. We should have a nice collection of them soon. :)

Great picture in your signature by the way.

If you need anything done while I am there just let me know. That goes for everyone! Want me to check the gift shop for ya for something? Want me to take a pic in a particular place for ya? Speak up! :)
