New "All You Can Eat Pass" at Universal/IoA

No This such a good deal that no other discounts apply. However AP discounts can be applied to the drinks which are not included in the plan.

BTW, I believe that at each meal you are charged not only for your beverage, but also the sales tax on the food.

In all honesty, I don't think they can DO that. You're already paying tax for the pass whose sole purpose is to provide the purchaser with unlimited food at the participating restaurants. I don't see how they (anybody, really) can justify charging tax twice.

"Double taxation w/o representation"

you are not taxed twice. The sodas are rung on a different check. Since they are not included in the AYCE program they are not taxed with the food. Remember it's all you can EAT not DRINK.

Okay, for the sake of beating this to death...

If I have a bracelet and I get in line and I only take 1 entree, 1 side, and 1 dessert, Do I just flash the cashier my bracelet and keep on walking? And I would only be charged if I get a soda or anything extra?

from what phampton has posted before, that is the impression i get.

the bracelet allows you the food.
if you do not have a beverage, then the bracelet covers what is on your tray, given that it is what is listed........entree, side, dessert.

i have my fingers crossed that this promo will still be going on the second weekend of october. i am definetely going for it !

show the cashier what you have .She will ring it up but not charge you. It is for inventory depletion purposes.

I did this program a couple of weeks ago. We were a party of 4 with two adults and two kids dd14 and ds12 (which are both adults for the bracelet). It worked out nicely for my husband and son. They definitely got there money's worth. I overate, but hey it's vacation. Would've been better to pay as we go for dd14, but we felt it would be unfair unless we all bought a bracelet. Don't go into the parks at 9:00 am thinking you can get a hamburger. The restaurants don't open till 11:00. My husband was starving by 11:00 because he didn't eat enough breakfast that day, knowing he was going to pig out. We never had much of a line till dinner around 7:30. It was probably 20 minutes, but not so bad. If you don't buy a drink they just total you up and you go on through. We did meet a family of 5 who only bought 2 bracelets. Then, they wore them the next day hoping the color wouldn't change. (It did). I was very upset that someone would cheat like that. Their excuse was "we're on a tight budget". We were, too. Most days we brought in our own lunch and waters. This was our "special day". There are NO discounts. We asked when we purchased and we are AAA and annual passholders. We would do it again if we go back.

Thank you for following the plan as it is suppossed to be done. If people cheat (like the ones you ran into) it will force Universal to cancel the program. It's a good deal there should be no cheating needed. I mean you can eat all day for $20. That's what I spent today at Seaworld for 1 meal for myself today and I had to eat again at 6 pm which ran me $15 more. Please people don't lose this for everyone...play fair.

The refillable mugs are sold at almost all the stores, restaurants, and food carts in the park. Some of them cost $5.95 and others cost $11.95. The first drink is free with the purchase of the cup. After that, refills are $1.25 plus tax (which makes the drink total for refills come to $1.34.)

how much is the drink without the cup? ( I really should pay more attention)

the buffet started at midnight and ended at 2pm.
i was there with a group and sorry they discontinued it.

originally the all you can eat was to cease sept 4.........today is the 6th.

does phampton or anyone else know if it will be continued???

Right now Universal says it will run "Indefinately" so no real time has been given to end the program. I know it won't run during Rock the Universe since it will end at 6 PM and since most restaurants in the program aren't open for HHN I doubt it will run then. I will keep you posted on how long it will run.

please give us a shout on any info you find out

i am hoping it would still run when i am at universal for hhn.
i know it wouldn't operate during hhn but thought it would for the day guests in the park.

We're doing the stay 3 night and kids eat free special for Oct. 10-14. Our info says that the kids get armbands and can eat all you can eat at the same restaurants listed as this regular special. Since the kids are having the armbands, I was just assuming that this deal will still be going on in October. I hope so anyway!

Okay we went to weeks ago wanted to chime in.. here is what happend In our group had hubbie, father, mother, myself and 2 boys age 5 & 7 When ever we go to teh parks which we do often my mom and i always (ALWAYS) share a meal Hamburger fries drink, and my boys ALWAYS share a meal hamburgers fries drink or chicken fingers fries drink.... (we don;t do it to save money but to save wasted food and unnessary eating...) so i asked when i bought did we all have to buy or could husband, father, me, and 1 boy get the band and they said that it was fine for gramma and 1 son not to have band.... it was not like we were ordering more... heck tthat actually would have been a hassle anyway getting back in line to wait.... we ate 3 x once at 11 ish once at 430 ish and once at 8ish... we were very happy with it and i do not think that we abused the system heck we had permission ...if they had said we all needed one we would have just paid and waisted the food... this is a great plan for families who spend all day at the park and need to budget becasue the cost of food is paid up front so you d onot have to worry about saving money when buying gifts....

has anyone gone recently and done this. was interested in knowing if they are still doing it. Also can you use it at both parks on the same day.

They are still offering it and it can be used at both parks.

that's good to hear...
phampton, can you let us know if it changes in october?
