New "All You Can Eat Pass" at Universal/IoA

So I understand the restrictions:

No breakfast

No drinks

and NO AP/AAA discounts.

Do kids have to order from the kids meals? My daughter is the queen of "I'm super hungry" and when she get to it, she only eats one bite... So I could order a few kids meals for her whenever she gets hungry?

I wonder if I purchased drinks separately, I would get my AAA/or AP discount on top of that or if its easier just to whip out a bottle of water from my bag...

Phamtom answered that 4 posts up.. Yes, you can order just one item. Not sure about fruit cup if that's considered breakfast..

I don't know if kids have to order from the kids menu. Many of the participating restaurants don't even have a kids menu so kids would order off the regular menu.

If you buy a drink, you can still use your AP/AAA discount for that. Better yet, buy a refillable cup and get cheap drinks all day long or free ice water.

About fruitcups, if it is on the menu either as a side or a dessert, you can get that. I'm not sure which of the restaurants offer that as I'm always looking at the junk food like apple pie---that's my fruit cup.

I think this would be a great deal. My kids and husband happen to love that fast food. I would also like to know if one wristband works in both parks - that is say lunch in Universal and dinner in IOA?

Yes, you can buy a one day/two park ticket and use it in both parks that day.

It is an auto club in the US. I think it stands for American Automobile Association (someone correct me if I am wrong with the name.) You pay a certain amount a year and get free towing, travel plans, maps, etc. If you belong to AAA, you get a 10% discount on food and merchandise at the park.

And where do you buy the mug for cheap refills how much is it and where can you use it.

The refillable mugs are sold at almost all the stores, restaurants, and food carts in the park. Some of them cost $5.95 and others cost $11.95. The first drink is free with the purchase of the cup. After that, refills are $1.25 plus tax (which makes the drink total for refills come to $1.34.)

i am staying at RPR next June 28th for 7 nights with DW & DD 10years old,can you use the refill mugs there .
sorry for asking so many questions but trying to find out as much as possible so we can have a dream holiday,
oh and maybe meet up with some posters on here for a drink and chat , but will try and sort something nearer the time

and the best thing about the refillable mugs is you can bring them back every year and still be eligible for the refills.


i found that out after buying the mugs for 8 years.............
now i am wise and bring back my dueling dragon ice handled mug.

So I can park hop with the bracelet, get discounts on drinks with AAA/ AP, and actually eat fruit cups for breakfast if they are on the dessert menu.

I usually don't spend that much for our family per day at food at USF, usually only $30-40 per day plus maybe a snack or two. Its hard to say if we would get our "worth" out of it, since it would be approx $70 for us for an all you can eat experience. I'll have to price it out more and see.

I can't answer that. I've only stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel once and we didn't have refillable mugs when we went. I think the cups are refillable just in the parks and Citywalk.

the refillable mugs are only valid at the park, not at the hotel resturants.

at hrh, you can get the discount on a refill of coffee in the shop outside the kitchen.

i have eaten at all three hotels and do know, the refillable mugs can't be used at them.

My bunch loves burgers, chicken strips & sandwiches so this seemed like a good way to save $. So if we stay 5 nights, 2 adults & 1 3 year old. I would need to get 10 adult tickets & 5 kids tickets to be used all both parks ? Do I have it right ? Just wanted to make sure if I was getting this right. That would mean about 323.70 + tax ? I think my math is off (not my best subject) . But I was estimating $60/day for counter services & that only totals to $300 ??? So am I saving really for a small family ? I did want to try Mythos, spiderman character breafast & 1 or 2 city walk restaurants which I know aren't covered. Maybe this plan isn't for us after all

Pandora, you are over-analyzing this. Just decide if you think you will spend more than $20 a day for your counter service meals. If you do spend more than that, then buy the all-you-can-eat pass. If you spend less than that on counter service, then don't buy it.

I personally spend around $15 or less a day on counter service (not including the price of drinks), so it wouldn't be a good deal for me. Some parents buy a meal and share it with thier kids and don't buy a meal for their kids. It wouldn't make sense for them to get the pass as they would also have to purchase a meal pass for their child. Don't look at the grand total. Just look at how much you typically spend a day on counter service (not including drinks) and see if it would save money.

My meal at Mel's without drink comes to around $6 . The price is a little higher at International Food or Louie's. But at Louie's or International Food and Film, I would also probably be able to share a meal with a small child. The All you can eat pass just wouldn't save me money. Now for a family with teenagers who are continually hungry, it would save them money. You wouldn't have to worry how much they ate or how often.
