New Al Lutz: CL and BVS to Open in June, LMAUA Updates, Mad T Party

The rumor posted by Lutz says Starbucks would be in Downtown Disney, not Main Street.

As far as all the other rumors go, it will interesting to see the changes to Little Mermaid and so glad that BVS and Carsland seem to be heading in the right direction for an earlier summer opening. I am thinking a good time to head in will be right after AP blockouts, if this rumor pans out. Lutz was not correct in his WOC predictions.
Neither was Disney. Or anyone.

I was hoping to hear more about if your staying onsite whether they would let those guests into Carsland earlier? It would be a real decision point for us this year if they up the perks for onsite guests.

That'll be a more last minute push to get people to stay onsite. Last year I don't think it was announced until May? Wouldn't it stink if everyone booked onsite expecting that, and then Disney deciding NOT to do it because bookings were high? Probably not a reality because everyone could then cancel.

I'd guess we will hear about summer deals in April as Spring Break is nearing its end. Also of course in April we would see hints as the official Calendar near the end of May as to how DCA hours are effected and if they add MM to DCA.

Now my reference to a Starbucks on Main Street refers to the article's mention of an apparently dead proposal to have Starbucks occupy the Market House on Main Street.
It probably would have been the Market House serving Starbucks coffee if anything. That is far less offensive to me than a Brittish nanny running a bakery in the middle of turn-of-the-century America. Or a Middle Earth princess village in a turn-of-the-century town.
I was just venting at that possibility and am glad that it's DOA. A big shiny Starbucks sign in the middle of 1920's America would just look weird IMHO.
Main Street represents the turn-of-the-century period in America which is roughly 1890-1910. The 1920's were referred to as the roaring 20's, not turn-of-the-century.

Why not? :thumbsup2

I still remember going to Carnation Cafe for breakfast, a long long time ago, back when they had an indoor section and a full menu (all coming back again, yay!) Went with a GF at the time. We had Eggs Benedict with home fries, followed immediately by hot fudge sundaes for dessert. Yum! The start of a perfect day!

I, too, am super-excited for Carnation Cafe to regain its indoor dining area (and, hopefully, its big menu!). I remember there being a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay bigger list of icecream specialties that one could order. I'm happy that now, with indoor seating, it'll be open for dinner and even in the rain :thumbsup2

Well I hope the Earl of Sandwich happens. I love that place at WDW. It is a must for every trip. Oh man please let Earl of Sandwich come to our DTD.
