New ? about Golden Eagle

Thanks for all your help, now another quick question. The excursion says 4-4.5 hrs. If it leaves by 7:45am, that should mean we return around 11:45-12:15pm. My thought is that I can have lunch on board and still get a taxi to a beach. Has anyone done this?

Shouldn't be a problem. After the Golden Eagle we went back to our room and showered, grabbed lunch in Lumiere's, and then took the water taxi to Front Street to enjoy a little bit of shopping and slots!

According to the Navigators, here are the lunch hours for Tuesday:

Topsider Buffet - "South of the Border": 11:45am - 2:00pm
Lumiere's: 12:00pm - 2:00pm

And the Deck 9/10 quick service locations were open as well.

We did the same thing on our 11/30/03 sailing. 7:45 Golden Eagle, back to the ship around 12:15 showered, had some buffett......they do serve sandwiches on the Golden Eagle on the way back.......then caught a water taxi for some shopping. Remember in St. Maarteen they pass out 7 oz heinekin with purchases in many of the shops.......drinks on the Golden Eagle then shopping...WOW was it a long day!!!! LOL
