I noticed that Disney has adjusted the opening hours to each park on the Friday-Tuesday when we are there in February. They now open at 8am instead of 9am which throws our schedule off a bit (love to have to schedule everything so far in advance and then they change it up as we get closer!!)

My questions are
1- will all the rides operate since it is park opening and not EMH

2- specific to DHS- my son really wants to participate in Jedi Training. Should he go over with my husband to sign up at 8am? Will sign ups be open at 8am or will he have to wait an hour until 9 when they open? I hope now :rolleyes1

1- Nearly everything will open at 8am.

2- 8am

When we go it will be very busy- 9/10 park levels because of Feb break in new england and it is also mardis gras

We are tied to school vacas and hate the winter up here

If they don't allow FP+ windows to start until 9am, this could be awesome.
Headliners might be walk on again at park opening.

That first hour from 8-9am would be great. No FP+ to contend with, and not as many folks want to get up early enough to be at a park by 8am.

I think we lucked out with them changing Sat 1/31 to an 8am opening. I wanted to visit MK on our departure day, but was leaning against it due to crowd level 5 vs 1/2 midweek, but booked our FP for MK that day just in case. Now i think we'll have a ton of success from 8am - 10 am. The rest of the week will be 9am openings, and like the previous posters said, I doubt they'll expand FP+ times to 8-9am. Now just have to hope Splash opens a few days early!
