So I submitted my dates for the vacation today. I find out as soon as someone approves it. it's my first time doing this so I have no idea how long it takes. Hopefully soon.

BUT my ADR window is coming up ....and fast. So why not figure out my tentative plans.....

We are trying to save $ more than anything, so we are trying to stick to places I get the CM discount at, and do mostly counter services. But a few sit downs are always in order!

F&W will be what we eat for about 2 nights of the 4, that's a given for us.

I HAVE to eat at Boma. So If we do stay at AKL (I'm leaning HEAVILY that way) then a late Boma dinner the night we arrive will probably be what we do. Esp. Since it'll be so convenient.

KC wants to do Brown Derby for lunch but I'm not sure, since I have been there before. I'd like to do Sci-FI.

I also need to decide on a morning we leave character meal, which is how we do it every time. I'm thinking Ohana but it all depends on our park days, so it may end up Tusker House. Ohana, No Tusker House...Or Ohana

I also need to figure out which nights are MNSSHP (Which we aren't doing) but it'll effect where we end up, ya know.

We plan to share food at most sit downs so we can snack at F&W more.

Boo that the World of Disney is closing! My nephew Dainan worked this past Fall/winter there.He loved the fact that he was an actual WDW CM! He leaves next month to do the College Program at WDW! I'm hoping we can get a trip down there while he's working and has discounts!!

We have been doing a lot of crunching. Numbers that is.

I got my vacation days approved from work so that’s one less thing to stress.
Then KC mentions to his friends about coming with us… and then they say they wanna come and so does his friend’s sister. His BFF, Pants, also got the days cleared from work.

My BFF, L, planned to come up with her kiddo, H.

So where the heck does that leave us in terms of resorts!?

We went through EVERY option there is, and I mean EVERY. We went from staying at a value to staying in a 2 bedroom villa in the span of an hour. We were knee deep in “per person it would cost this” “if so and so stays with us it’ll cost this” and “what’s that total again?”

After all that, what did we decide????

We are going to stay at a moderate! HUH?

Yea I know. But it is the most economical solution. Turns out POFQ (KC’s first choice) is NOT available so we get my first mod choice- CSR.

We will be getting 2 rooms. One for KC, me & Pants and the other for KCs friend Kevin- we’ll call him Rasta (KC does) and his wife & sister (nicknames to be added in later since we can’t think of any at the moment).

We had totals. We all understood how much we’d be spending.

Then L text messages me this morning- her sister, brother-in-law and nephew wanna come too! We contemplated a villa again but in the end I will book them a value room for them to share as a family, if they make the definite decision to come.

Still with me????

So 2 rooms at CSR, 1 value. I won’t concern myself as much with L & Family because I am really planning for the 6 of us at CSR. L knows this and we will all meet up for some F&W for sure, maybe some meals as well.

So 2 rooms at CSR.

I really love it there. It feels like a vacation in a vacation to me. We stayed here once before. I plan to ask for rooms as close to the main building as possible (because of my back). We really liked PM too (i know some people love it or hate it, I like it) so we will prob do a decent amount of eating from there because thew portions are so big we can share. We may do a bit of night swimming but we have some new things in store for the usual touring ways, but thats another update entirely.

Rasta and KC have to clear this with their boss Monday so with any luck it’ll all be settled and booked by Tuesday morning. The only planning snag is that Rasta & Fam will prob not arrive until Fri and KC, Pants & I are arriving Thurs. One less day for me to plan, right? LOL.

So that’s the story so far. We have discussed some ADRs a bit more, but that’s another update once we figure out who is going to actually be coming with us.

I think CSR looks lovely! We were set to stay there last January till Disney had an overbooking glitch and had to move us to the Yacht Club, twisted my arm on that one!

I am glad you got your resort figured out and your cast of characters coming along! Sounds like it is going to be a fun trip!

Glad you got CSR and you like it. Not for me. Worst resort experience yet. We stayed in Casitas 3 and it was close to the main building. Could also see Illuminations from the outside hallway.
