New 2012 FD bounceback offer in room today

My guess is that they're trying to book people early for that and hope it eliminates the need to offer it GP. But I honestly don't see it happening. If they have it for later in the year when we get there in December, I'll think about it, but otherwise that doesn't do me much good. There's a reason less people go then.

I doubt this as they have offered bounce back FDing offers for the past several years and have always released it to GP later on.

We have booked several bounceback offers in the past and hate to say it but GP offer booking window is uaually not as big.

Yes you can. I did. Upgraded to the regular dining plan and booked a "Cars" family suite. at AoA. The dates are August 17 - September 27th.

Even if it is not in your room, you can book the bounceback and don't let anyone tell you that you can't. Just book it as soon as you get in the room by pushing the button on your telephone for reservations or dining (either will get you where you need to go) and let them know that you want to book a bounceback. I had an expired clock bounceback in my room and I knew to call and book a bounceback. We have always booked bouncebacks whether there is something in the room or not but we always go in August when the deals are good.

Thanks last year was the only year we didn't book a bounceback. But the GP FD discount was out so we booked that before we left. I'm glad the AOA suites are part of the promo. There is only 4 of us so we wouldn't need a suite. So we will stick with pop. But hopefully by 2013 we can do a little mermaid room. I'm sure my dh will be over the moon about that. LOL

I do believe the window for the GP FD offer during hurricane season usually IS this big. It was smaller for the one offered this year because it was the second offering. I think the first offering last fall for Aug/Sept was this big.

We were there last December when there was NO bounceback offered at all, even if you called. I will be curious to see if there's anything this December. I think they anticipate starting to open parts of the Fantasyland Expansion late next year and want to pull back on discounts for that. So this will be our first glimpse into where they're heading with it.....

I called to verify the bounce back this evening. It is currently tiered Free Dining, August 17 to September 27, 2012. Must book by September 29, 2011...which coincidentally is the day arrive for our trip this year!

I've never used a BB offer before, so I'm not familiar with how it works. Does the above mean that you can get FD if your trip falls within Aug. 17-Sept. 27, 2012? Also, if you must book by 9-29-11, does that mean that BB ends on that date and a new one starts the following day? Or is there some time in between the BBs?

We'll be there next week and we leave on Oct. 2, so I'd love to be able to book a BB, but FD isn't enticing enough to DH. He will only agree if there is a room discount offered. I may have to cross my fingers.
