Ok, I have a logistics question:
How are they going to incorporate this decor with let's say their fall and christmas decor. I absolutely love their christmas decor and even though this decor is cheery and I do like it. But I like it for the everyday, not for when they have special events like halloween and christmas. I personally think that it would be super tacky to have all the streamers and balloons that was in the original atrwork together with the christmas decoration.

I like the balloons theme. It is kind of "old school." In fact, I have many happy memories of those old balloons, and I would love to see them bring them back. I know they have balloons that are similar (with the clear balloon over the old mickey balloons), but I want the old ones back!! I don't mind if by the end of the day I have a deflated ear!!

so i was there, first in line at 730am on jan first and ALL of the Year of A Million Dreams banners were still up! I was very dissapointed. My group and i were really excited about going on New Years Day to see new decorations, maybe get some free stuff, or SOMETHING, but there was nothing :-(

We all had made a trip back in March 2008 and opened the MK then and got to throw the mickey confetti (aka pixie dust) and they didnt even have that to open the park on New Years Day! I was pretty depressed because it didnt seem very "Magical" at all. Plus Splash Mountain was closed the ENTIRE day becuase it was broken and Space Mountain broke down a few times throughout the entire day.

We all really expected more Disney Magic for bringing in the new year.

I agree - the balloon theme is bringing me back to my childhood at the WDW's Tenncennial Celebration.

My DD's "new school" take on the Mickey Ears balloon (with the big clear balloon over it) didn't stop one ear from deflating the day after we bought the darn thing - guess some things never change!
