We are considering extending our trip by a day to go to Universal for the first time. I know a day isn't a lot, but we've never been and that is about what we can afford.
SO it seems like a rental is the best idea. I've never rented a car before, especially in DW.
We will be staying at ASmo. I have done a little research but want your guys' opinion.
Is the best location to rent from the car care centre? I don't want it to be too stressful for hubby to just go and pick it up while I stay with the kids at the resort.
I can get a rate for a compact of $68 for 2 days. This would give us the car on Wed at 6pm until Friday 6pm (day we fly out). So we'd have it Wed night to put around in. We've never been off of Dis property so Im not sure where we'd go. But we'd enjoy driving around I know that!
Ideally I'd love to get a convertible, our 4 and 5 yr old are taken with them right now. But for $120 vs $68 I think we might just stick with the compact.
I've also heard that they will pick dh up from the resort? However if we were to drop it off late Thursday night (if we have an early flight on Fri) would he have to cab it back to the resort? Is the car care center connected to any DW transportation?
