Never received my ME documents

I booked our upcoming trip in January. We leave a week from Monday (5/1). I've called twice to verify we are indeed enrolled in the Magical Express. Confirmed both times but our paperwork was never sent out. I was told to check in at the Disney desk at the airport and all would be well. What about our luggage? I hate the idea that it will circle around on the carousel until Disney 'finds' it because it won't have the bright yellow tags enabling it to be pulled prior. So I guess I should schlep it myself to the bus? Wish this could have gone a bit smoother. When I called Disney the last time they said every effort would be made to send out my documents before we leave but in all honesty I probably won't have them in hand when we get there (they said this not me). And that the desk at the airport will deal with finding my luggage. Not sure how I feel about that. I am sure this has happened to others and I was wondering how it all played out. Thanks for any insight! :thanks: :disrocks:

Please rest assured, your luggage will NOT circle around on any luggage carousel. Using DME ensures your luggage will be pulled before ANY bags are loaded onto the carousel.
Simply proceed to the DME counter and give the CM your claim check numbers. In addition, you may want to put something on your bags to make them easily identifiable (big yellow pom poms, bright ribbon, etc) and tell the CM this; I believe they also have a book of pictures of luggage they'll show you so you can ID what yours looks like. Then just proceed to your assigned bus line, and relax; DME will take care of your luggage! But - there really is still time for your tags to arrive :)

I got my luggage tags one time 3 days before we left!! I had already made my special luggage ribbons so that the bags could be easily identified!!! You still have time for them to come. If not, then just go to DME check-in desk and give them the baggage claim numbers. They'll grab the bags for you!

However, the bags will not be pulled if they don't have the yellow tags on them, so yes, they will be put onto the carousel. The baggage handlers would have no way of knowing that the bags should be put on the DME truck without those bright yellow luggage tags. But, the baggage folks at DME will take those numbers and head off to the carousel to grab them for you and put them on the luggage truck.

As stated above, proceed to the ME desk and give them your claim ticket numbers.

One trick is to take a picture of your luggage, print it out, and hand that to the ME desk.

Have fun!

I went through the same thing last year, I just gave the CM a description of the bag, and it came later on that night. I got in at 8 and the bag didn't come to almost 1:30. However, to Disney's credit there was a bomb scare at MCO that night. SWA told me it would be at least 90 minutes after I landed until the bag came down, so it really wasn't that bad. Also it was a duffle bag with polka dot trim so easy to find.
