Here is how our party went, and a lot of additional info that I was given. (Of course I should say that Disney could change things up at anytime, so just know that this was MY experience and hopefully you will get a good idea of what to expect.)
The birthday family can arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. They will not let anyone in before your child. They politely explain that the birthday boy/girl gets to enter first.
This was my son's 3rd birthday. We chose the Mickey Mouse theme, no characters (sadly out of our price range).
You are charged for every child between the ages of 3 and 12. You can have as many babies/kids under 3 as you like. Also they said we could have as many adults as we wanted. We had about 7 kids, 3 babies and 25 adults.
They provide pizza and apple juice for the kids.
"The number of pizzas included is based on the number of children expected to attend. If you are expecting around 10-12 kids, you will get 3 pizzas for the children. You can have cheese or pepperoni."
You may order extra pizza for the adults- $20 a pizza. We were told that the adults were welcome to have the left over pizza from the kids. We ordered one extra (Veggie) just in case.
The juice is Minute Maid juice boxes.
Additional Food:
You can order additional food through Private Dining if you want. Or you can bring your own!
We brought sandwiches, chips, fruit, etc. and they set everything out for us nicely, using their serving trays/bowls etc.
Here is the table as they set it up:
The CAKE:
You can use the cake they provide or you can bring your own. In our case, a friend of mine made this huge, amazing cake- but we still kept the Disney one too because it was already included in the party price.
I have to say, the Disney cake was pretty good, but it wasn't as special as I needed it to be (that's just my opinion) and they couldn't even guarantee that it would be themed, although in the end, it was. I am glad that we had our own cake there and not the Disney cake alone.
Here is the Disney cake:
We brought lots of extra desserts and set up a dessert table. I brought my own tablecloth for this. Here is a picture of it all set up with the cake that we brought (all the treats were brought by us)
I will continue this in the next post......
I hope this will help someone!
