Never had a flu shot -- you?

In past years, I seldom got the flu shot.

Since we have had kids, I get the shot every year.

The combination of day care and schools with they boys brings back all kinds of germs and stuff.

Figured the flu shot would help.

Not sure if it does anything, as we still get the flu once a year.......

:confused3

I've never had the flu, but I get the shot every year anyway. I figure if there's a shot that can keep me from getting sick, why not? My doctor designates one day a week for the flu shots. The best part of getting my shot this year was that I was the youngest person in the waiting room! It's been a long time since I've been the youngest at anything.:)

no shot ever...no flu for me
DH shot, DH flu

guess which way the kids decided about getting one....:thumbsup2
DH wil keep donating his $$ to the doctor I guess, and I will keep taking care of him.

No shot, no flu.....and I work in a hospital. I don't stress my immune system for something that may never happen. Everyone needs to make their own decision though.

I had one once about 17 years ago when my dad was so sick and we did everything we could to fend off any other illness.

It ended making me sick (yes I know thats impossible  but it did )

so I havent had one since.

I'd never had a flu shot until age 40, and never had the flu before that age. I've had the flu once about 3 years ago, I received a shot that year. I don't blame the shot for contracting the flu, but it sure as hell didn't prevent it. Nonetheless, my family and I get a flu shot every year.
