we're planning another disney trip and dh mentioned that he'd like to split our vaca between universal and disney... i had read somewhere that if you stay at a universal resort you get "front of the line passes" and other perks... is that true? what else would make us spend the first three days of our trip at a universal hotel and then switch to disney? and how many days do we really need to enjoy all universal has to offer? what are the must see/do things? what kind of tickets are best to buy? restaurant info?

please help this disney-freak learn about universal! THANKS!

Welcome aboard. This is actually in the hotel forum, so it may be moved, but that's ok.

Most feel the best plan is to visit Disney first, then USF. So in your case, go to Disney for 2 days, then USF. Why? Because you get FOTL at the end of your trip, which means you won't be waiting in line for very long. Yes, you get FOTL if you stay onsite in one of their 3 hotels. Here's some info on the area to read up on.

oh, being a disney-die-hard, we'd definitely do disney last... esp 'cause at the time of year we go there are rarely lines in wdw so that's not a problem... thanks for the heads' up, i'll head over to the right board to ask the rest of my questions...
